Normally, I dislike needle games. When I first heard about NANG, I thought that I will not enjoy it. But since this game was made by Thenewgeezer, the maker of infamous I Wanna Kill The Guy, I decided to try it... And I quickly realized that I was wrong when I thought this game is unenjoyable. This is a masterpiece.
First of all, gimmicks. There are lots and lots of gimmicks. Each one made the game more enjoyable and made me keep going. (Well, except the darkness gimmick. It is the only part of the game I disliked)
Second of all, music. Thenewgeezer really knows what music to use in his games. It is always fitting and enjoyable.
Third of all, the AI. He talks with you on every floor of every stage. That is a nice touch. Honestly, this made the game more enjoyable and more unique.
And finally, this game is incredibly long. I knew it when I first started it, so I did not expect to beat the whole game. I wanted to at least get Bad Ending. But this game was so good and enjoyable that I made it all the way to True Ending.
This is definetely the best needle game.

One of the first fangames I played and I'm glad it was. This game has great production value, great balance and good variety. More importantly none of it felt like a grind and the game did a great job of teaching important fangame concepts that many players take for granted. Even contains the lesser valued aspects of story, personality, ratings and achievements.
Replayed later with secrets and it was easy to appreciate it just as much again. It really checks all the boxes and with the exception of maybe first time fangame players (pick something a little more basic first, but definitely come back after), I would recommend it to basically everyone.

This the only fangame I would actually without a doubt pay for on steam or any other platform. Even though I have only done the bad ending, the game is full of different gimmicks, quirky text and funny moments. If you had to play any fangame regardless of difficulty, I would recommend this every time!
