Chill short needle game with some great visuals. There's good variety in the rooms with some being more about navigation while others being about precision. I really liked the music and thought it complimented the aesthetics well. I liked how the environment partially blocked the spikes. One thing I didn't like was that when you die the rock music starts playing which totally clashes with the calm atmosphere.
And of course: The OP is kino

Simply surreal. Please go into this blind.

My only complaint:

I was hoping there would something that would tie it all together. As it is, it just all felt random with no real sense of cohesion.

== Overview ==

In many ways this game is the textbook definition of a great avoidance. There's great flow between patterns. There's good balancing. The length of patterns is perfect: usually lasting briefly. This game has RNG done (mostly) right where patterns are usually the same difficulty and improvement happens naturally. And this game is lots of fun to play.

I love the aesthetics. I adore the song choice and think it fits avoidance well. I like how the patterns and background graphics sync with the music. And of course, the intro is kino.

The thing I dislike the most about this game is the lack of variety in patterns. Just about every pattern in this game is just a random barrage of cherries that move in straight trajectories. It made the game feel repetitive. I would have liked to see cherries that moved in a curve or better yet cherries that moved in abnormal ways. I also would have liked to see some non-RNG segments. The abundance of RNG made the game feel too much like a slot machine and added to the repetitively. And while I think this game usually does RNG correctly there were segments that I found were either a cake walk or quite challenging with little in-between depending on RNG (examples below). Furthermore, the optimal strategy throughout almost the whole game was to stay on the far left of the screen. I believe the best avoidances have the player using the entire playfield. I found that the patterns aren't very impressive on a technical level, which is something I value highly in an avoidance. Lastly, the patterns lack originality. There's little here you haven't seen before. Though I think this game does a good job repackaging familiar ideas.

== Nitpicking Individual Patterns ==

I'll be referring to time stamps in eggkid's clear video in this section. The patterns at 1:54, 2:06, and 2:20 are examples of bad RNG. The pattern at 1:42 is horribly ineffective. I don't know how I feel about the ending being the easiest part of the game. It's also more or less a repeat of the beginning.

PS: I would have liked to see a PB system implemented where you can see how far you made it each time and your PB would show up on your save file.

== Conclusion ==

Overall, while it has its problems, this is an awesome game and it's a ton of fun. I recommend this to everyone, especially beginner avoidance players. I think it's impressive this is the maker's first game. Hats off to them.
