It could have used a few more saves during one save screens.
There's no real balance, although easier saves are there more often than harder ones I feel.

Yes Spike is a lot different compared to some of the other titles under the same guy who made these games. It's difficulty is slightly higher than heart. The tile set is the same as some of the previous games but it's a nice color that at least fits better with backgrounds for once. The music medley is really good. Some of the rooms are really fun but there are some rooms that are just boring and repetitive. I see why some of these rooms can annoy people but I personally still enjoyed the game for it's needle. For one of the games made by this author, I can actually say it would be okay to play through instead of ignoring it.

Features great design like five gate jumps underwater in a row, one screen that is randomly way harder than the rest of the game, and a double Kid room that resets the window position every time you restart.
Oh, and the music is incredibly loud.
