Mediocre/bad needle, and I'm gonna go against kurath's words and say the more you progress, the worse it becomes. The game start with easy and decent short screens, then switch to regular needle. Third part is where it becomes annoying. It introduce the mirror gimmick, and handle it in a quite bad way, with a lot of not very enjoyable saves. But the real problem comes from the last room : it's a giant room (and not a maze) of terrible corridor needle. And it never ends. More than 3/4 of my playthrough was inside that room, and it was just a long and horrible experience. And to make it even more terrible, the maker thought it was a good idea to have like hundreds of rainbow butterflies inside that room. Yeah, it actually just makes the game lags and make this not enjoyable room even more horrible to play. Also you have an arrow which indicate where is the warp, which is useless because like I said it's not a maze but a giant corridor needle.
The game has some decent content at the beginning, but because it's easy it quickly ends to let bad stuff comes and all I remember is the last room.

Pretty decent needle game in general. However, that averages out over time as it starts pretty weak and gets better so you'll have to wade through the more mediocre parts to get to the good ones.
Difficulty balance in general is pretty weird and all over the place and the needle design is only okay, so the earlier pure needle stages are the weaker parts. Later stages add a two kid gimmick that makes it more engaging and finally, as chinese needle often does, it ends in a needle maze which is a little more interesting to go through than traditional layouts.
