It's a pretty inoffensive recreation of Venus with reminiscent level design. Fun, though short. I would have preferred if the "Love Letter to Fangames" thing was bundled up into one game since that would make the whole thing more substantial.

Its a generally solid little needle game. The style feels a bit more fluid and modern than old needle games, though I haven't played Venus to really compare.
The concept, however, definitely has promise. I tend to personally find inspired design more interesting than the straight rips as commonly seen in Medleys, so the potential for more adaptations is cool (and hopefully deeper ones, since Venus is pretty one dimensional). Fangames are inspired by other games, and by each other, and getting to see what aspects of other games people hold dear is a cool way to acknowledge how far we've come over time.

Kind of boring. I realize it's a homage to the original game's design, but that doesn't really make it any more interesting...
My main issue is that the complexity of saves is all over the place, with some just consisting of doing a few planes/corners, and others being fairly long sequences of more demanding jumps. You'll do something kind of neat, then the next save will just be generic jump central; there's not really a sense of flow or pacing. A great example of a game that would be much improved by excising all of the corners and planes, since they're just acting as a crutch in lieu of more interesting design here.
Also, again, I know it's a tribute to the original game, but - touch saves in 2019? Really?

Nice needle game with Venus style. Some screens were definitely more fun than others but I think overall, the needle was fine.
It uses touch saves, but they are well-placed. If you still dislike them, just press a key when you touch them. Same experience!
