Game with a diferent style in every stage: S1 - 32px, S2 - 16px and S3 - 8px needle
The original difficulty is "Very Hard", playing on this difficulty unlocks all the content the game wants to offer to you, playing in lower difficultys can be useful if you want to practice some parts of the stages because have more saves (I didn't do it lol), but if only you want a short needle to play, Medium-Hard is the best option
I like the needle, one of the best from Renko definitely... some parts can be tedious, but I cleared the game with a nice experience, my favorite stage by far is the extra, long consistency saves with a good balance

Rating based on Hard, since I think it's the best mode to play on.
Chill needle game with snapless platforms, which actually end up being detrimental. Much of the game is locked behind the difficulty mode you select, with Medium having only one stage, Hard having two stages, and Very Hard having three stages and an extra stage. The platforming does not change between difficulties for overlapped stages; instead, saves are removed.
I've taken the liberty of clearing Medium, Hard, and Very Hard so I could give a rating and difficulty to each, as well as a few thoughts.
Medium: 7.0 rating, 42 difficulty
Hard: 7.0 rating, 55 difficulty
Very Hard: 6.0 rating, 72 difficulty
Since the first stage was the most fun for me, Medium offered a short but chill experience for the one stage it contains. However, for experienced players there are far more saves than are needed, leading to a quick clear. The game has much more to offer than this.
Hard removes some of the needless saves in Medium, on top of adding a stage. The second stage incorporates some tighter jumps, particularly 16-pixels, but there are enough saves that intermediate and experienced players should not be able to get stuck for long. With this stage included, the game feels like a proper experience, even if half the content is absent.
Very Hard makes it so there is one save per room in stage one and two saves per room in stage two. The first stage doesn't become that much harder than it is on Hard, but the same cannot be said for the second stage; those 16-pixels and other precise jumps become far more annoying when paired with longer saves. The third stage is where the game starts to deteriorate, though, with difficulty balance being all over the place and some saves beginning with horrendous jumps, on top of visual challenge thanks to shooting stars streaking past. Extra also has some questionable jumps, with each save being about a screen long while being pretty precise. This is definitely where the difficulty peaks. Overall, the third stage and extra were probably not worth the effort I spent clearing it, but I could see more precision-oriented players enjoying it.

Rating based on very hard mode. Stage 3 is just annoying, you should just cut it off straightly.
