I saw a slew of reviews for this game and decided I needed to see what all the hubbub was. Apparently, there was enough backlash that the download link directly through delicious-fruit no longer works, so I looked it up on YouTube and found a link there.
As far as the gameplay is concerned, yes the game is ass. It reeks of amateur vibes. The controls seem a little laggy and the physics are hard to pin down, making even a simple gate jump difficult to pin down. It seems like a 16-year-old's attempt to be edgy and contrarian.
As far as the accusations of "homophobic", "transphobic", "racist", and the like being spewed by other reviewers, it really seems to just come from the "edgy" memes used throughout the game, and the fact that the game over screen is Pepe the frog. I personally don't see these as triggering like many in this community would, but they also aren't entertaining and they seem to only exist as bad jokes. They are used in poor taste and nothing more.
