Very simple and short "adventure" game, not much going on with it in any department so can really only talk about the gameplay.
With the two stages of platforming it has, there really isn't much to it. The first stage doesn't have much going on and the cannonballs don't really add much. Second stage was a little bit more interesting, with some screens that played with more moving objects which made at least for some nice screens, but most of it isn't that crazy.
While the bosses aren't much visually or attack-wise, it seems like the combination of attacks has actual thought put behind it, every attack is simple but they go well with each other, so this maker definitely had something going on.
It's good for killing some time.

Pretty fun adventure game made for pure beginners during the 2022 Vtuber Relay Race. It serves as a good tutorial for new players by teaching them about common mechanics, such as traps, vines, and platforms. After the tutorial is a short stage followed by a boss, because the best practice is just putting your head in the game!
The game also has a cute feature of being styled as a Vtuber's stream. The Kid can be seen on the bottom right, which is meant to be the player's model, and a chat above can be seen as well. The chat is pretty funny, and actually reacts to what happens in the game, such as reaching a new save, dying to a spike, or the sound effects of a trap.
I really liked the idea of this, and would recommend it to absolute beginners who want a quick guide for how to Fangame. It doesn't go over every feature, but just enough so that they won't be overwhelmed.

Its ok. The room with the jump-switch blocks tickled me for a while, and I think there are some difficult jumps that might make it tough for beginners

The quirky sequel? alternate story? to cocktail. Its possibly even zanier but a bit rough around the edges. Overall I loved the quirkiness and the feeling that 'no idea whats coming' but a lot of it was short lived.
Production is great, platforming is a bit iffy but barely exists. The bosses are without a doubt the highlight and have some solid variety and fun interesting stuff. Recommended to those who like relatively easy bosses and anyone who liked cocktail as the references are fun.

Two-stage adventure game that has an old-school feel to it. There are traps that send spikes flying down or to the side, cannonballs that get shot down corridors, and that classic guy rock tune we've all come to know and love. At the end of each stage is a boss, the first one can be a bit harder due to a charge attack, but also has a bug in one move that makes its shield spawn below the screen, so you can shoot it when you aren't meant to.
There are a few touches here that I really like visually. The spikes are a custom set that looks very unlike most sprites that I have seen, and I think it really adds a bit of identity to the game. There's also tiling that feels a lot like OG Guy to me, which is an aesthetic that I have always liked and wished makers would aim for more. Boss sprites are also cool, not sure if they're original or not but I've not seen them in a fangame before which I appreciate.
It's a short work, but I think it's a solid first release from Maito. Looking forward to seeing more from them in the future.

Based on the contents of the game, alongside part of the readme, I can safely assume there was a part of the maker's mind trying to force him into becoming a needle maker. This was thus made to trick that voice into being appeased temporarily, giving renex time to find a way to patch it with a debugger tool. It's extremely old-school feeling, has goofy save balancing, and is too short to make a large stand.
I genuinely appreciate how even in something like this renex takes the time to put in little touches, such as unique visuals, music, and sound effects. Even in a "meme" game like this, you can tell it's made by an experienced maker who still cares about their work. I also enjoyed seeing the development of the background images used from the showcase channel in IWC, it added an interesting layer to the game that felt like being let in on a secret.

Short luck game that requires you to do a needle jump to then take a set % chance to reach the next room. There are three of them, with different chances for each and lowering in difficulty execution-wise. My only real complaint I can give is having no autosave for each screen, so don't hold right too much or you will die if you succeed. My rolls by the way were 41-1-1 (the second one is on a 5% chance haha!).
It's funny I'll give it that, though I wouldn't recommend if you don't like double diamonds.
