Kinda strange fangame with its ups and downs. You start in a hub where you can select six warps and your goal is to collect the boss items. Each stage also has a secret key which is required if you want to enter the post game content. I wish the game had more variety to its stage music other than Guyrock, with the exception of the extra stages.

As for the stages themselves, they weren't too bad with the exception of one save in the forest area. I liked the spike gimmick of the bottom left warp a lot, where you have to shoot the moving spikes and something random happens by doing so, but this also means its a lot harder to shoot them because your bullets tend to go through the spike which usually results in failing the save you're on.

After collecting all six boss items the top right warp is available and it starts with this unneccessary quiz section, even if it's just a single screen. The real shit starts right after it. It's a Miku avoidance which has to be one of the most boring avoidances I have seen in a while. Once you figure out what to do at the first minute it becomes free and very boring since right when it says you have 2 minutes left it throws a lot of random360's at you from all directions but left. Right after that you have 2 pattern based attacks and finally another RNG attack again, this time fruit comes from both left & right and up & down. The last 45 seconds mostly consists of pattern attacks and the RNG attack here and there. The whole avoidance just feels very bland and unbalanced, so this might be a stopping point for you even when the main game ends right after.

If you've collected all eight keys you can enter a new hub with the bosses you've encountered before, but this time they are all buffed with the exception of the red slime boss which just plays the cutscene again for some reason. I didn't find the bosses to be that hard, but the frog might deliver a challenge and it's easy to die there just by being unlucky. After the boss rush there's still a lengthy extra stage left, which was surprisingly pretty fun! It had some creative moments and the bosses weren't too annoying. The gimmick at the second half of the stage is a bit iffy in how the platforming is made, but you'll get used to it quick. The extra final boss has only one attack I found to be harder than the rest, that being the third attack of the fight. The stars can spawn at the worst places and it lasts way longer than the attacks before it. Overall, it was a pretty cool conclusion to the end the extra content on.

I can't say much of the game other than it's "okayish". It has a few rough spots, mainly the avoidance I mentioned before and I have no idea why the quiz screens are even here but most of the game was overall kinda decent.

Pretty creative little game that comes out swinging with the traps. Its short but solid and achieves what it set out to do. Recommended if you want a quickie of that style.

Review full of spoilers based on v0.95, make sure to at least play this version to have the whole game
This game is probably one of the most two-sided. I'm one the side who loves it.
As everyone said, it open with a generic not very creative guyrock theme with traps, the kind of game you quit after two screens. But behind this shit is hidden a crazy adventure game.

After a few screens, the path split into two (continuing with brown visuals and music btw) and each side contain a mini boss, another level with better production and a true boss.
The left path mini-boss is...really uninteresting, he is just rolling over the screen rising his speed each time he get damaged. The stage after is a good sonic stage, with gimmicks you can expect in a sonic stage. The right pass mini boss is decent, with a few patters. The stage is a megaman stage, and same a sonic's, with gimmicks you can expect in a megaman stage.

So why this game is so good? Bosses. The true bosses are ones of the best and the most epic I have fought. Left path's boss is Luigi and right's is Top Man (why Luigi is the boss of a sonic stage will be always a mystery).

After the 2 bosses defeated, a new path open and you have a VVVVVV level and at the end a boss. The level is really great, trying to reproduce the origin game's heavy gravity. The boss is a Viridian/Vermillion boss, very inspired by the Boshy boss in kill the guy (some of visuals effects are the same). It's clearly one of the best boss in the game (and in all game) with a lot of patters you need to learn but without being too hard.

After that comes the final stage, which I have mixed feelings about it because it have a lot of traps which aren't the strong point of the game, but the stage is really on drugs, warping you randomly and having stange visual effects, which is fun. At the end comes a miku boss...with luigi. The boss is probably the least memorable even if it's good.

Right after beating miku (and luigi), you are warp into a dark room where comes the final boss : luigi, who have absorbed all the other bosses (this guy has a real problem with luigi). This boss represent why I love this game : it's epic, with many patterns and great visual effects, it reminds you what you have fought through the game. Even if the game finish on a 'to be continued", the last boss felt like a great final so I'm not disappointed on that.

In overall, don't give up on the entrance because the game is worth playing just for the bosses, and despite some flaws, the greatness of bosses made me forget the meh start of the game, they get me back the excitation of fighting boss and without the entrance and the bad traps, I would have given 10 to this game.
Note that it exist a mod you can find on paragus fav list, which replace the brown tiles and guy rock music of the entrance by great ones (mostly from kirby) so you can play it for a better game. Just keep in mind that there are not the originals.
(I also forgot to mention that this game has an amazing soundtrack)
