A harder needle game with 1 or 2 saves a screen (expect one shorter one) where you go back around to the first screen in the end.
I feel like lap around had something to do with this one.

A fun adventure through progressively harder needle stages, mostly with a classic, simple platforming feel. Would recommend if brute interests you but you don't want to actually play it.

I like to call the genre of this type of game "Generic+". It's not generic to the point where its just 200 gates and diagonals over and over again, but its also not unique enough to where it changes the experience drastically to make much of a difference.
The needle is okay, and considering its mostly corridor needle and was still quite fun, I would say it was decent. The avoidance was hit or miss for me, as I don't really enjoy them to begin with, but it was fine for what it was. I enjoyed this.

Not what I expected after playing the prequel. Needle is corridor-ish style but it's still kinda fun, but the graphics are actually amazing. The boss at the end was also pretty fun.
Only thing I disliked a bit was in Kubias area. There was this corner jump I couldn't do and after hugging a random wall on the previous screen I was able to get it. Kinda annoying, but the rest of the area was fine.

Overall a really solid eastern-style adventure game with a good bit of variety. The traps scattered around tend to alternate from gameplay impacting, interesting changes to unimaginative gibs. Still, the latter part of it was not nearly bad enough to be a problem.
Stages had a good bit of variety, generally running with a single theme and mixing in a number of different gimmicks. Some of them aren't the best but it doesn't latch on to any of the bad ideas so the game flow keeps going.
That is, to some degree, until the final boss. Bosses in general in the game are pretty reasonable and quirky, though quite interesting. The final boss however is a pretty big spike up in difficulty and the fight is very long, with quite poor attack balance and a really iffy finish. The main problem with it though is that its scaling up objects with a black border on a black background, which means their hitbox is always bigger than they appear but it's difficult to gauge exactly how much bigger they'll be due to the scaling.
Nonetheless, the fight is alright if a bit tedious and it definitely serves to cap off the game. The game certainly has a number of weaknesses but they're quite minor in the scheme of things, and it leaves a game very much worth playing for a classic trap-filled adventure style, should you be looking for such a thing.
