I thought I was overrating this, but if I really think about it, this is not only a classic, but features plenty of variety and there's a lot of love behind the project. Visual design is not always the best and the engine gave me trouble several times, and I won't compare its engine to the remaining 98% of fangames. I am comparing it to the original classics that had their own engines: IWBTG, IWBTB and IWKTG. All of those engines worked for the platorming they featured; this one didn't: first jump is too fast and too high, and second jump is ridiculously low. Making a gate jump equals making a mini-spike jump in a regular engine, but it can be pulled off. The problem comes with jumps that do require trial and error because previous calculations will fail you.
Exactly 25% of the scenarios I didn't like, and exactly 75% the scenarios I loved. These percentages include all secret areas, which are fantastic more often than not. It is too trap-based for my taste, but the adventure feeling is there to convey a sense of progression and achievement. Music and worlds are derivative from mandatory classics and it is highly influential.
Although not on par with the original IWBTG (which hasn't been removed from my Top 5 list of fangames yet [*hears nonsense screams in the distance of IWBTG "not being a fangame"*]), this is an adventure I would recommend because it has more ups than downs, and the downs are not worth missing the ups, such as the final tower area, the Doom boss segment, the final escape, the location of all secrets (which would certainly increase my final difficulty rating), Trial 5 and other clever traps that make you laugh first and frustrate you second.
For the record, this did a much better job recreating the Pokemon world than the bizarre Rose Gear did, and a work as splendid as Run the Marathon to create a Super Mario Bros. world. Plenty of old-school game references are here and add up to an experience that definitely aims at surpassing the difficulty of Kayin's original great game (it really does in nominal terms).
This could potentially be considered as the true sequel of IWBTG instead of Thenewgeezer's eternally unfinished game.
Play it. It demands it more than just for its classic status.

idk why the other reviews, aren't reviews, but I'll give a serious one. Needer games is a pleasant to play medley, and I think the idea behind it is very well done. There were some people in the Nader server that I didn't know had games, and the screen picks were all really good, which makes me want to go try some of the games that were in here. There is only 2 problems I have, one is small, one is quite big. The small problem is Arzztt area. It's generic, it plays as if Guille attempted to make easy needle, I think he should try and expand his palette for how he uses jumps in the future. The big problem is Skull area. It's the hardest part of the game, but it's the end of stage 3, instead of 4, where it'd make more sense to put the hardest area. It's also poorly designed hard needle, the first screen has a skip, which I used, because the intended route just didn't seem fun. Screen 2 is full of awkward frame perfect jumps, and a bunch of 16px. Screen 3 however, isn't that bad. I think skull needs more practice on making hard needle, because this is just not good. At this point in time, I would recommend playing up to Skull's area, then wait for a nerf, but if you're willing to go past, stage 4, and egg area are very nice to play.

Two screens of rather generic needle.
The gameplay itself isn't completly horrible (aside from the lacking difficulty curve), but there are some really annoying jumps in the game such as the TAS jump in the last screen . Plus, every jump seems to be either a gate, corner jump, or a diagonal. I should also mention that you could possibly skip a save in one of the screens. Playtested? Probably not.
On top of that, the decoration is distracting and the music choice is so bad that it is, as well, distracting when your trying to get past a particular save.
I would not recommend it. If I were to give it a positive, it would be that it introduces a whole bunch of jumps that could help make a beginner better at fangames.
