I felt proper for my last fangame of 2023 to be the only one I couldn't complete when "I Wanna Classic" races was a thing, and I'd love a second version tremendously. Now the circle is closed.

Surumeika's (するめいか) stamp was set forever: three stages per game, and an almost always legendary Pokemon awaiting at the end of each stage. Visual design and level planning is among the creator's best considering Yellow Star, Purple Zone, Green Moon, Gold Ribbon, Silver Tower, etc. It's mostly a trigger game based on activation of switches, modifying the layout as we first perceive it. Each stage has at least one annoying trigger or trap in terms of precision (notorious is the sixth screen of Stage 1 and some races against the clock in Stage 3).

Traps are annoying and nothing special; however, they at least do a good job at reading your mind and predicting your next move. Bosses are more dynamic than the maker's usual fare and both the beginning and the ending are cute. Stage 3 consists of puzzles. Fortunately, it is not possible to softlock as far as I know, and each save correctly registers if you have the box with you or not. However, every trigger is trial and error and a couple of them are not intuitive at all.

This is nothing special, but if you're akin to the aforementioned fangames, you shouldn't skip this one.

Great game, mostly based around trap platforming. If you into this kind of stuff, you will find many of them and tbh traps in this game are never boring or exhausting, and always flows in good way. Final stage with Cube companion is also awesome. Bosses are nice, despite being simple in terms of mechanics. So far my favourite from Surumeiku

Fangame Clear #18

This game was ultimately not fun whatsoever. The game is riddled with traps, monotony, and stage design that just left me feeling confused and disappointed. The bosses were the highlight of this game, giving a much needed break from the annoying needle preceding them, and are the only reason I didn't rate this lower. Personally not a fan.

very fun puzzle screens that werent annoying at all to figure out and the ending avoidance was really tricky but i managed to figure out how to navigate all of the attacks semi-regularly and beat the boss after a good couple attempts and two short sessions ^^

Pretty cool game.

Only a handful of the traps and jumps feel weirdly mean-spirited (i.e. the pick-a-paths just didn't land for me and some of the flying spikes triggers were just whatever), but there's also definitely a surplus of one block ceiling bonks which probably contributed to ab 1/4 of my total deaths. 2nd boss was my favorite.

Other than those points w/ other nameless nitpicks, it was a pleasant little adventure with your standard bosses, graphics and length. Music, routing and puzzles were the high points, and traps would be up there too if the dumb stuff was filtered out a bit more.
