Knight in Shining Armor offers a lot in the way of non-standard fangame stuff, such as its focus on melee combat, mild exploration and various RPG mechanics. On the whole it looks great and plays great too. The items, especially the axes and bouncing on enemies with the sword, are fun to use.
Most of my complaints are small nitpicks, such as the double-jump wings just being unnecessary and making it harder to see where you're jumping, and the final boss having a rather odd hitbox. The game also gives off the feeling that the one month development constrained a bigger plan. This is most apparent with the three crystals, the first of which is guarded by a boss, the second behind a boss that is already dead and the third just plopped unceremoniously in a sleeping guy's house. What is there is still good however, so play it if you're interested in a fairly short adventure with some unique mechanics.

Amazing short adventure game, platforming gimmicks and bosses were done well in the metroidvania style. Sometimes it may feel like you're a bit lost since the game does require quite a bit of backtracking but its not difficult to find where to go next. My only gripe is the final boss, which you can easily cheese by bouncing on its head.

Knight in shining armor is another adventure game by Mattin with an astonishing production (and it was made in 1 month wtf).
Let's start with the goods: the game is visually top notch, with some uncommon and interesting gimmicks. The atmosphere is god tier and musics are great. It looks like an RPG with a menu system, some items, some power-ups, etc.
But for me the main problem of the game is the gameplay. Let's be honest, it really start with a bang but the more the game progress, the less the game try. Let me explain: you have to find 3 gems to access to the final boss lair. For the first one, you have to do a lot of things and get many items. For the second one, you have to do 1 dungeon but without the boss because some dude already beat it (there is a boss before but it really felt like a mini boss) and for the last gem, you walk into a old man's house and...that's it.
My second complain is the items use. Most of them only serve on specific places and are only usefull to get access to some places. I remember me only using the axe outside of these specific places. It would have been good to find a better way to use them, maybe for puzzles or some plateforming sequences.
And my last complain: the game doesn't have any plot. There is one village at the start, the npc are useless and that's all. It's a pity.
The game is very good but at the end, all these problems lead me to be disappointed and that's why I can't give an higher note. I think that if the game hadn't been made for the sortventure (so with a time limit), all these problems wouldn't have been.

Pretty fun adventure. The platforming is fun, the difficulty curve is pretty good, without any noticeable spikes. Excellent game for a beginner who's seeking a slightly more difficult challenge.
The metroidvania elements work pretty well and add a nice layer to the game. The bosses are kind of forgettable, but fun nonetheless.
The production value is through the roof, definitely one of the most impressive fangames out there.
