This is my Shortventure 2018 contest entry. The theme was supposed to be about 'fear' but I screwed up and made it about cuisine and music. Sorry about that.

Honestly one of the better SVC entries. This game is styled like a fetch and gather adventure game, like King's Quest. I have never really played a WetWookie game, but the style was easily shown and executed well. Can't wait to see more!

A fangame that stands alone completely unlike any other in its presentation and gameplay. The emphasis on platforming is gone and instead you have a game that plays like the old point-and-click Sierra style adventure games of old. It is still a fangame in terms of there being some light platforming and the Kid is there, but in every other respect it's a completely different experience from other games.
A strong emphasis on story telling and puzzle solving makes the player traverse a few areas looking for items and interactions with those items to find solutions to progress the story. A horror themed games with some funny interactions snuck in there, the production is very different in a good way.
The only drawback was that due to the style of the game, the world is small which means you will be going back and forth through the same rooms quite often. One or two of these rooms in particular are mildly annoying in that one requires you to use the same item every single time you pass through it, and the other is cycle based which can lead to some waiting.
These are minor gripes and shouldn't detract fangame players of any skill level from trying this one because it is a very different experience and a memorable one at the same time.

A really cool experimental fangame that feels more like an old-school adventure game. Pretty good level design overall, though one sequence of events has a pretty annoying answer.
Atmosphere is on point though

Wookie gives us a prequel to the prequel, further deepening the lore of his weird creepy world.
I really enjoyed this one, not necessarily for the gameplay but because it was captivating.
It's an escape the room esque game with the goal of opening the fridge in your home so you don't
starve to death. I personally love the dark themes that wookie incorporates into his games. He went
pretty deep into it this time, with a rather shocking sequence near the end that left me a little uncomfortable.
Music choice compliments the atmosphere very well here. (The atmosphere is also very good).
The main thing that set this game back was that it got a bit obnoxious having to run through the same
rooms all the time trying to find where to use an item. I think it would have been cool if the way you use the items were more of a puzzle than "try using it on everything until it works". For some items it was clear what to do, but for the ones that it wasn't I found myself jumping over mom's awfully slow eyeballs a lot.
I find though that this game is definitely more for the experience than for the platforming itself.

A kind of "detective game" where you have an inventory and have to find items and figure out how to use them correctly. I through it was a little bit difficult to figure out what to do sometimes and it became annoying because I have no patience. If there was a way to get a hint when you are stuck it would be nice, but of course that would take a lot of work to implement. ̶I̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶r̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶I̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶h̶o̶l̶d̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶a̶g̶a̶i̶n̶s̶t̶ ̶b̶e̶c̶a̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶h̶o̶w̶ ̶s̶p̶e̶c̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶i̶s̶. You should definitely play this. The story and the atmosphere is amazing and very creepy.
