Short Chinese trap game, that I have initially beaten at the end of 2023, and re-beaten now in 2025.
This game feels like a prototype for author's other game 'I wanna find magic watermelon', which in itself is a huge re-imagination of 'I wanna be the hanamogeta', given the sprite changes. However, both this game and 'I wanna find magic watermelon' lean towards Chinese meme territory, which makes them stand out.
Traps in 'Do Morning Exercises' are quite convoluted, starting already from the hidden 'Medium' difficulty and being more and more confusing the more you progress. Quality and creativity of gameplay is very varying. Some traps felt kind of meh, others were significantly more interesting. The big drawback is that music is restarting, and it does get on your nerves a bit.
Memes were weird, but I liked this kind of Chinese meme niche area. It definitely made this game stand out.
My favorite part is the final Rhythm section, which is actually an avoidance due to the ending. It is pretty lengthy section, but you do have some HP, and game does not punish you for pushing wrong button. You can spam buttons if you wanna. However, if you get outside the room, then you automatically die.
I did like the whole visual challenge aspect, it did make me laugh, and also made me concentrate more on to not miss something or simply misread.
Low quality images do kind of fit to the whole vibe, I would say, since the song itself does not need to be perceived seriously (it is literally song for doing exercises in Chinese school or something like that).
I initially wanted to give this game 6.5 rating, but now I did not feel as impressed. Game is pretty lacking and you can clearly see that this is just a prototype thing, that is just a small joke game. Final boss is not very hard, so it is not annoying, but it is also pretty lacking in the quality.
There are very few interesting things that game offers, and I think it could have been much better than what it is right now. If you are curious on how the final boss is done, then I guess you could try it out. But otherwise I would not really recommend this game.

Short and easy with some traps. There are saves, just gotta find out how to get em. I had to read reviews to figure it out myself, makes it tolerable.

Okay traps/trolls, although most are unfair and kind of just waste time. Not amazing as there are definitely better troll games, but it's short and cute. Tiles used are rough, you can get caught mid air on slants/ramps.
You don't have to play impossible mode. I felt like quitting after attempting this for a while
