Straight up 10/10 adventure game. There are many gimmicks, and all of them are executed well.

By far one of the BEST Adventure Fangame I got so far,
Game is great, story is great, needle and gimmick and final avoidances are Insanely fun. Masterpiece for sure.

If you skip the prologue you miss an important tutorial. Other than that, the game is amazing.

This is what I consider to be the pinnacle of fangame design.
Heavenly Host is a phenomenal adventure, oozing with atmosphere and creativity. It's structured similar to Cardinal House (one of my other favorite fangames), where you have to go into different rooms in a metroidvania style. Every single room feels unique, with plenty of them using gimmicks that never show up again. The items you collect always help you progress in really creative ways. The use of the Lockpick mechanic is outstanding, creating interesting puzzles without the difficulty of the gimmick's progenitors. The game is a good mix of platforming rooms and puzzly rooms, with many rooms managing to mix both without annoyance.
Finally, the boss at the end of the game is the most creative fangame boss I've ever seen, and holds up against bosses from professional games. Every attack feels completely unique, and it manages to use an item swap gimmick in a fun way, as well as blending in key usage.
There wasn't a single thing in this game I disliked. Everyone should play this.
