i'd like to preface this with the fact that it is laughably uncharacteristic of me to really go in-depth with any game i tend to review, regardless of how much i adore or dislike it - i am no wordsmith, nor do i have a predisposition for any form of writing, reviews or not; it is to say that it is just simply not a thing i like doing
alas, the amount of emotions Prima has caused me to have has made me step out of my comfort zone in order to say that it has done something that i've always thought was possible for avoidances, but still something i wouldn't have expected to see so soon: an honest-to-god complete experience, on par with other works of art that i've held in the highest esteem, whether from the fangame community or not
following this game's release, a lot of thinking was in line for me in regards to avoidance design and the like, and to tell the truth, i've never been further from being able to convey what makes Prima stand out from the rest for me
i've seen and played an amount of avoidance that would be hard for me to quantify, and throughout all that time there were many entries in the genre that awe me, ones i think about to this day - God, Kakki, Verre, Melanzana, Mayumushi, MHC, Battlegrounds, even NN's previous two works, Kardia and Odoryanse - all avoidances deserving of the highest praise, for they are what i'd considered to be the ideal, perfectly executing the flow and atmosphere that they themselves establish, disregarding my own personal complaints i may have for some of them
however, in spite of the individual accomplishments of these avoidances, named and unnamed, they all remain just that - a niche genre of games in a niche genre of games; a unique form of skill expression, sure, but no matter how much i've expressed my love for them, it's hard to say that they've captivated me in a way that's beyond the standard avoidance experience
Prima was the first avoidance that at last broke that trend that i've experienced up until this point, and i couldn't be happier to see this genre finally blossom and show what its truly capable of
as said before, i would not be able to truly and accurately explain why it and no other game before has managed to reach this level, but even if i could, i don't think any method for understanding exists better than experiencing this game for yourself - it is a difficult and time-consuming endeavour, but i believe that you will be rewarded for sticking with this game through to the end, because Prima, to me, is a life-changing adventure contained within just 3 minutes, beginning with a single attempt
the final thing i'd like to say to close this off, is that Prima is not "the perfect avoidance", nor is it the recipe for creating one, it is just the first of the many hypothetical masterpieces currently waiting to be made coming from the deepest parts of someone's heart, and to all the avoidance makers out there - please, do your best, i believe in you and earnestly await the best you can do

If you are considering playing this avoidance, be mindful of the fact that this game basically REQUIRES you to read the ingame manual and hints.

Prima is an avoidance unlike any other. It fully embraces the puzzle aspect of Kardia and pretty much turns into a puzzle game besides the fact that you're given the solutions once reaching them.
One incredible thing about NN is how they are able to remix verses and choruses to be consistent yet different. Adding to the aesthetic of this avoidance, and while yzy's part may seem out of place at first, it perfectly goes along with the tonal shift of the song which allows the avoidance to retain its flow. The entire flow and aesthetic goes together flawlessly with the song creating a magical viewing experience
