This game combines some really unique gimmicks with really enjoyable platforming, funny and creative traps, and great bosses, to make a truly amazing adventure game. All of this maker's games are great and this is definitely no exception, I was consistently very impressed with the ideas, my favorite gimmick was probably using X to move blocks but all the platforming is awesome, and the bosses are great too, with the final one being especially creative, I've never played anything like it in a fangame. Very highly recommended.

My only nitpicks are the 2nd boss could have easily used the change shoot direction mechanic and maybe increase the HP just a tiny bit to make up, and there is that one attack pattern segment with the spikes and the waving blue bullets on the last boss that stays a bit too long for their own good, everything else was done fantastically!

I really had a blast with this one, this developer's games are always a breath of fresh air. HEAVY TANUKI-SAN is a three stage adventure game, mainly focused on gimmick platforming with some well placed traps sprinkled without.

The usage of simple gimmicks is brilliant. Each stage builds on a gimmick, introducing new aspects that always feel really clever and fun to play with! In particular, the second stage feels more like a gimmick needle game than an adventure game, with a really fun gimmick and lots of clever platforming.

The entire game is really atmospheric, particularly the third stage. It feels more "adventurey" than the previous stage, with interconnected paths and lots of different gimmicks rather than one central feature.

I really like how the game uses simple, familiar concepts. The early game has some really neat apple cycles, and the third stage uses basic mechanics to create unique feeling saves. In particular, the traps are all very simple, lots of flying spikes, but they're placed immaculately, managing to get some good chuckles and never feeling frustrating.

While the first boss is rather typical, the second and third are a different story. The second is based around a neat gimmick, that felt simple at first but had clever layers added as the fight progressed. I wound up thinking the boss was super unique, and a really smart idea. The third boss is, simply put, epic. It was a complete blast, and manages to be a highlight of an already incredible game. I highly encourage you to see it for yourself!

Overall, a game that follows a classic adventure style, but with modern innovation. The platforming is super fun and well designed, the traps are funny, and the bosses are a blast. I would highly recommend this game to adventure fans!
