Aquelarre is a gimmick needle fangame inspired by several of Wolfiexe and WetWookie's games, notably Vandal, Witch's Tower and Jason eats the Witch's Dangerous Dandies. It consists of several gimmick needle stages, including visuals and gimmicks from these fangames, and a final boss at the end. Estimated difficulty is a bit easier than Vandal (and much shorter). Enjoy!

Aquelarre wears its Vandal inspiration on its sleeve, with many of the same tilesets and gimmicks. At the same time, I never felt like I was playing a clone of Vandal. Voracious has a very unique needle style, and that's also on full display here. The saves all feel more intricate, with gimmick usage not just being for flow, but rather to add a puzzley aspect to a save. The saves are oriented around figuring out how to clear them a lot of the time. More traditional needle often feels like there's only ever one option for the player, and you just have to execute it. But in Aquelarre, there's almost always multiple options for what you can do, and you have to figure out which one leads to finishing the save. This makes the game feel like it has a different dynamic from Vandal, or most other needle games, while still feeling like a wonderful homage to the former.
Also, the final boss is great, I felt like it was a big step up from the bosses in TABOO.
