Learning the avoidance and playing for fun after clear (with no expectations) - 10/10
Playing for clear and dying on meteors and timing drop over and over - 0/10
I like this game and it became very consistent after the second completion. I wish I hadn't played it so much back when I was going for my first clear.

Don't know why but I can't stop playing this game. The music and atmosphere are just too good.
The attacks are... not good. Balancing is like worst ever, objectively. You have to pass a luck check transition to prefinal. There you need to live through a very hard (but 70% fair!!) prefinal. And then there is totally luck based final.
I can imagine playing this game for clear being a torture for a not skilled player. Well, I don't need to imagine really.... First clear took me 15 final attempts and the second one took me 24, LOL.
But I still love this game, it's my favorite avoidance as of the date of posting this review.

Love this game. Another Tokoroten masterpiece. The song and atmosphere are 10/10.
First half might seem boring but I think it serves as a reasonable build-up to the brilliant second half, which gradually increases difficulty and pressure until the end. The game culminates at final. I loved the feeling of my blood running cold during last attacks.
MHC has reputation for having completely unfair RNG, especially towards the last minute. Personally, I disagree with that. It's very skill-based in my opinion. The only poorly balanced attacks are colours rng (luck check) and c/o/s/m/o (there is too little space to consistently dodge meteors and purple apples). All of the other ones (including final) are doable most of the time.

very hard
quite cool vibe, extremely relaxed which is pretty nice to see, very impressively made with solely 32px.
saves 1 & 3 are the main killers, especially 3. save 3 requires an insane double cactus into frame perfect 6f with extremely precise movements (1f stutter, two 1f delayed corners) alongside it. It's an extremely precise jump and so damn hard and each input after the double cactus somewhat feels like filters stacked upon eachother to lower the chances of passing the jump. alongside this, there's a very volatile 2nd jump afterwards, which requires some tight stutters and a 4f, very easy to fumble. This save is really cool though, it's impressive just how difficult the first jump is, although it is kind of draining to play at times due to it feeling so damn difficult to pass.
Save 1 is pretty cool, first jump is a nice cactus and the 2nd similarly too (which also has a frame perfect shoot timing, i find this really cool and underutilized in many precision games), both jumps of save 2 require 1f stutters (technically not for the first jump) but it's also quite fun, save 4 is generally quite easy in comparison but it's not harmful. Almost every jump (with the exception of the final save 4 jump, which isn't bad just not too technically impressive) is extremely impressively hard, especially for 32px needle, and very interesting too.
Recommend if interested in this kind of thing. It's epic
