Creative pathing, which, along with the visuals and music, are the highlights of the game. The actual platforming isn't particularly great by more contemporary standards, especially in some of the more cramped sections. Surprisingly, I didn't mind the bosses; they were the right difficulty for me, which is to say they were quite easy relative to the platforming.
If you value aesthetics and pathing, consider playing this.

This was my first fangame I ever finished (other than vine tutorial but ignore that) and I can't say I'm disappointed at all. This is definitely one of the most polished fangames out there, and the gameplay doesn't indicate otherwise. Each stage has its own unique mechanic which is explored well throughout each floor within the stage. There were no real sudden difficulty spikes, except for maybe the trials and the avoidances , so it felt mostly smooth there out. Spoilers for some of the game, but I must say the two avoidances are easily the worst parts of the game, which brought it down massively for me. Not only was the 2nd avoidance the hardest part of the game, it just never really fit in well with the rest of this game. It felt like an outlier to watch, and playing it only cemented the fact, let alone it being significantly harder than the rest if you've had no previous experience with them. That's the only part of the game I remember heavily disliking, but everything else is at worst mediocre, with its highs being some of the best in the whole fangame business.
I would recommend this to any player, and although beginners probably shouldn't start with it, it should be definitely within their highly prioritized games to play. I do believe the difficulty is a little higher than it should be, which can easily scare off some newer players, so maybe don't wait too long as the struggle only makes it better.

This review is based on a 100% Clear
While it's definitely unpolished and uncomfortable at times, Kermit 1 is still a pretty interesting game. It lacks some of the variety and creativity in it's successors, but there's still a generally interesting needle style which makes Wonderful's platforming so fun in the first place. The bosses present are kind of silly, but show lots of personality which is also a staple of the Kermit series which again, would be enhanced in future games. I think even the weaker spots like the black and white stage are still at least interesting to play and still somewhat enjoyable. There's also some secret and extra content, it's nothing too special but it does help spice things up a bit. Overall I would definitely say Kermit 1 stands on it's own as a worthwhile experience, which is definitely impressive. Thank you Kermit.

Straight up banger, filled with unique and fun ideas, that are embodied in sort of minigame-type platforming, reminds me of Vibe with the Gods and Use Sextant, but easier (while staying really good and delivering it nicely), which means more enjoyment for everyone. Absolute recommendation

Pretty sweet avoidance with some interesting RNG stuff and visual decisions. Really like song as well. The only real problems is how disbalanced RNG at the times and instagibs at the second half, that could be way better if they has indicators or something. Overall tho i have fun, one of the better easy-ish avoidances i've played
