This review is based on a 100% Clear
Salt is a beginner adventure game which is very simple, although there's a decent amount to it. There's some secret items and mini secret stages to beat, and as such the game has quite a bit of content beyond just the any% clear. The main standout moment is Santipalt, which for this difficulty is a VERY long avoidance, and while it's not the most fun thing in the world, it's not horrible. Overall the game is slightly boring, but not really bad. It's decent.

This review is based on getting the True Ending, it may be updated in the event I get 100%
This game is very clearly a NANG inspired game, and maybe on the surface, a ripoff. With that being said, the game takes big steps to isolate itself from the source material and truly develop it's own identity, mostly in far more experiment gimmicks than what NANG offers. This is absolutely to it's benefit, as some of the stages like the doppelganger and portal stages, while in my opinion much harder than the rest of the game, are super memorable. There's some areas where the game lacks polish, and there's quite a few weak or annoying saves, and the avoidance segment in stage 9/19 is the most boring thing in the universe, but that doesn't prevent the game from being a very solid needle game that is 100% worth checking out.

i didn't know this medley had a demo lol.
well, as a fan of the medleys i can say that this one has potential with only the demo, this demo consists of only one stage with interesting platforming screens along with a miniboss, a minigame and a mini avoidance. in itself the selection of screens is very varied and also interesting.
and at the moment i can only say this, this is just a demo with a quite easy stage 1 (the most normal of a medley lol) with some interesting screens but they are quite short.
i'm looking forward to see this game finished ;)

I think Flying Spike is a great example of a game being unduly shit on because of the era in which it was made. If this game were to be released today, I think it would get much less of a bad rap. It comes from an era before the fangame community realized RNG could be fun, but in the modern ecosystem I think people can really appreciate the gameplay that emerges from RNG.
The most important thing to realize about this game is that the RNG is never unreasonable, and it's never the sole aspect of a save. Yes, some attempts will be impossible, that's guaranteed with such dense RNG, but possible attempts are very frequent, it never feels like you're just pressing R until you get a rare chance. Furthermore, every save has interactability. There are no stand still and pray saves, every single thing has actions you can take to mitigate the RNG. The entire game is a battle of player skill vs. ridiculous RNG. Almost every death feels like it was your fault, that no matter how unlucky you got, you still could've won if you'd played better.
Overall, Flying Spike is an easy recommendation. And not even just as a sudoku game, but rather just as a fun experience in its own right. The negative reputation this game has is, in my mind, completely unwarranted. This game is a well made exploration of luck as a mechanic. It's balanced really well, creating an experience that let's you enjoy RNG, without being stifled by it.
