Cool implementation of dotkid that allows unique tech like standing between spikes. It uses a variety of famous screens from classic games, and it's fun to demolish legendary monsters with ease. I also like the gimmick of the red spikes, that use your normal hitbox. This allows several sections to not be completely free. The boss was short and easy, but pretty cool, and I like that this gimmick gets to be used in a boss as well.

First off, I really like the visuals for this game, the background is cool and works well with the intricate tile design. The needle is decent, a lot of diagonals though (I'm personally a diagonal-head so this is cool). The game feels inspired by NANG in a few places, especially the water screens, which is nice. There's also a cool Donkey Kong screen with several saves so it's not actually disgusting. Overall, pretty fun journey, but expect balance issues.

The visuals are nice, but the needle is pretty bland. The last two screens are a major difficulty spike, the rest is below 30. These screens both have annoyingly precise jumps at the start, and multiple diagonals at the end. This is just annoying, and ruins a otherwise beginner friendly game.

Mind numbing unmemorable needle with really cool pathing. If this was like half as long it would be great, but as it is, the game quickly loses its luster as the needle is just more of the same, and the pathing uses the same few tricks. The presence of even jtool gimmicks would also help immensly.
