Rating/difficulty based on casual clear only - no 30 minute clear+avoidance!
This game is jam packed full of production value and is stunningly immersive. It's a really nice needle game with a bonus avoidance if you manage to clear it within 30 minutes. The game is pretty, the music gets stuck in my head for days, and the intro is really cool. I quickly adjusted to the screen tilt/rumble, however, there are several saves around the edge that become frustrating to grind due to said tilting.
The needle itself is really nice. It has a lot of variety, and utilises 16px-snap to create some unique jumps. The last few screens changed dramatically, with the creator focusing more on "bang-your-head-against-this-wall-50-times" maneuvers. As such, the number of saves on each screen increased from about 5 to almost 10 at some points, and I dropped off a heart from my rating. The difficulty curve was strange - more of a bellcurve really. It had some quite difficult saves (for me) in the middle, but got easier (and more boring) towards the end due to the jump types. Understanding how 32px and 16px aligns work makes the game easier in general.
Overall, my favourite needle game so far, and one that I highly recommend to anyone who isn't a complete beginner:

~Very bright, with some (pleasant) visual clutter in the background
~I'm not sure what triggers this (possibly death count or playtime) but there are occasional voice-overs from a cute lady. I can't understand them but they gave me a fright each time.
~I'm not sure what triggers this (possibly being AFK for x minutes) but occasionally the music and visual effects go into a frenzy! Have to reboot game to stop it.
-Last few screens are very grindy with saves before and after almost every jump.
-The restart key doesn't work unless the player is dead.

I must not be familiar with the lingo, since I didn't realize Hypertrophic Lobotomous Coalescing Bumblebee just meant 16 pixel spamfest. 3 Stages, 5 screens each, saves get shorter but jumps get harder. And by harder, I mean with more 16 pixels because honestly the jumps felt easier in the last stage just 16 pixel grinding (which really sucks with a spongy keyboard).
Its not bad and a worthwhile reasonably quick game if you don't mind the obvious.

An incredibly easy avoidance where you practice the attacks, then do the avoidance with DotKid. There is then another even shorter avoidance if you look around (literally walk right on the end screen). Very average but has decent production value at least.
