An interesting first game from Lovey. Consisting of 3 stages, Black Mist features an unsettling atmosphere mixed with some simple yet effective platforming, often making use of triggers (in this case, the black mist) to open the way forward. A highlight for me would be the little miniboss/avoidance mid-way through, which I felt was designed in a fun way!
I find the rain/visual background effects to be a bit noisy on the eyes, although there is a mode on the main-menu to play without the FX which is a nice addition. There's some cool ideas in here that I think can be made more effective with some more inventive and stylised platforming, no doubt which can develop over time.
A respectable first game and one that shows a fair deal of potential. I'm looking forward to seeing your future projects Lovey if you keep at it!

This is basically a sequel to last year's game, and it doesn't disappoint!
It's quite a meaty adventure game clocking in at 5 stages with bosses (and minibosses).
The overall presentation is exactly what you would expect from Erik. Great artwork, amusing sound effects, and plenty of jokes and references. The humor in this game is really well done actually, with one trap making me laugh out loud. The intro to the game is also top notch. You had me already with the text-to-speech but the writing is, well, so beautiful that it deserves an oscar. No, it deserves two oscars.
Concering the gameplay, there is very little to complain about. The levels are really well made for the most part, following some clever design principles and incorporating the gimmicks well.
As one would expect from Erik, the bosses are very good. The attacks remain interesting while still being fair and keeping the difficulty consistent. I liked the inclusion of minibosses this time, it added a nice touch to the flow of your levels. The best bosses are both in the factory stage, with the miniboss having a really cool dynamic and the main boss being a sick reference and a memorable fight.
I had a lot of fun with this one. Great job as always!

A really polished entry to the shortventure contest, this one looks great and plays great. Its a quick one mixed with neat little references, short whimsical sections and a variety of obstacles mixed in with a humorous story.
Recommended to anyone with 30 minutes as its a great playthrough for those who like adventure games and has enough charm and humor for anyone to appreciate.

Lovey makes a debut release with this shortventure submission. A mix between old and new, the basic tiles and spritework combine with some interesting effects to create a very eerie feel. Expect a bit of an unsettling feeling as you make your way through this 3 stage game.
Nice application of visual effects and audio weaved into the gameplay makes this a fairly unique experience among fangames and I look forward to seeing more interesting concepts coming out. Recommended to adventure fans, especially those who like the classic fangame adventure feel and those who appreciate a creepy atmosphere.

An interesting game to say the least. Story is great and is probably one of the strongest parts. Concept of the game is really nice too but the design execution however is lacking in a few places. Mostly moving around the graveyard isn't as fun but it's mostly compensated but the original and themed graves themselves. There aren't any bosses and a few gags were pretty funny too. THANKS FOR LAMP BROTHER

What an incredible experience I gotta say and I am not even gonna hide how biased I am towards such a way of using and combining a little bit of metroidvania and old-school Resident Evil style of gameplay. I enjoyed it all the way through, exploration was enjoyable and never felt tedious. Though, I managed to forget a few places I had to backtrack to but it wasn't a huge issue.
Bosses are all great and leave a great memorable impression.
I don't really have anything to say from personal experience as everyone else already wrote what I would have said.
Insanely good game as always from Mattin.

Out of all the shortventure games we got, I think this one oozes the most charm. The story is so goofy but it works perfectly, and the way you build up courage to do things is a great use of the theme. What I loved the most though was how you made every grave feel special. I was actually excited every time I went into a new one because I wanted to see what you would do with them. And don't get me started on Molestey's grave...
Even aside from the humor and the creativity, it is super polished. The game looks beautiful and the use of sound effects is great too. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this game. I liked every part of it. Even before you get into the graveyard there's a good moth meme that made me chuckle. And the attention to detail on everything is perfect, down to the kid progressing through K3 in the credits sequence. (I think the kid is Stonk, by the way, because he clears the game in one sitting).
I have nothing else to say really other than I wish it was longer. Awesome game!

Nice take on the concept and a solid package all around, but I feel like it needed an actual boss to really round things out.

The reviews for this seem to be pretty device-ive. I really enjoyed this game. Every stage had clever triggers except for the black-and-white stage and the moon stage. The bosses are mostly good except for Flandre which has incredibly long i-frames, and the hardest attack is at the end. The final boss is easily the hardest part of the game because the RNG can be tough to read, but I almost never found it to be totally unreadable. The game was very fun overall, and I think it stands pretty well despite its age.
The main game is absolutely recommended if you like traps and can handle the occasional bad save.
EXTRA: The secrets are easily the worst platforming in the game, and almost all of the buffed bosses are less fun than their original versions. I don't personally recommend doing the extra unless you want that K2 EXPERIENCE.
