For: I Wanna Kill The Kamilia 2
Kamilia 2's main-stages segment is definitely more approachable than it's sequel, and the production value doesn't feel much worse. The later bosses are very difficult, and it all feels like a great experience, with some hiccups in Stage 5-6. Regardless: definitely a great game if you're skilled. I used to dislike a lot of boss rush and now I don't mind it as much:
Destination is about getting gud at avoidance, it's the hardest technically from that sense and I love it
Crimson is a really neat concept and not too difficult
Nue is fun and hard, but probably the easiest. I saved her for last because I knew having something big daunting me at the end would leave me demotivated.
Gravity man is pattern but heavily rng on the last phase and rng on phase 3 if you don't trigger it in the same spot every time, this one was the longest and stupidest grind for me i think.
I used to dislike Big Kid, but now I enjoy it, and the second phase was, for me, much better, because at least I got to do needle.
M-stage is pretty hard but I got insanely lucky on it, somehow I fluked the double corner part after I got past the first one. After beating the final boss, whew can i say it's both great and trash. my favorite part was phase 4, because it was the most intense and it felt great killing a stupid anime girl with omnipotent powers, even if shackled in the second game unlike the third. My least favorite was phase 2 since it was total trash. But overall the game is great, and a must play classic to improve, a sort of rite of passage

Good gimmick but everything else feels just decent. Still fun but there's still other games. It being approachable for everyone else is okay.

Rating based on Normal, which the game classifies as Hard after you choose it. There are only 3 screens, and they're all fairly easy. I didn't play through Very Hard mode, but as inferno said, it adds more spikes and looks like it ramps the difficulty up quite a bit. For whatever reason, there's a portal at the start of the game that allows you to completely skip the first screen.

Unless I'm missing something, it was an incredibly short game with 2 scrolling screens. Once you clear the second stage, it to takes you to a screen thanking you for playing and some other Japanese text. There's a portal here that brings you back to the start of the game. I can't say I'd really recommend this since there wasn't much substance.

The screen before the maze is really dumb and basically ruins the game. It seems like it would be interesting to play on VH if not for that screen.
