ASCII equivalent of a fangame, but with no double-jump. About three screens between saves. Traps aren't too difficult by themselves, but the quantity of them creates the difficulty. Seems like a decent game.

I haven't made it all the way through yet, so I'll update this as I go.
A few nitpicks: the physics are a lot floatier than a hardened IWBTG fangamer is used to. If you hit a block from the side, it seems like the player has a precise mask so your head gets stuck on the platform, but you can't really save yourself from falling in the long run. You seem to be able to shoot an infinite number of bullets and they persist until they hit something.
That said, I do like the visual quality of the game. I like the puzzle solving aspect of it. You collect power-ups along the way like the ability to double-jump and shoot. The checkpoint system is a bit unorthodox, but not unwelcome. I think this has a lot of potential. The major drawback to the game is the extreme space between checkpoints. The timing of the temporary blocks is extremely unforgiving, and the triggers don't regenerate so you're screwed if you mess up. I gave up after the second set of these because I only have so much free time.

This game is absolutely beautiful, brilliant, and well executed. It's a puzzle game like Mario 64 where you collect stars, but you have to collect coins in order to access later stages (and you have to pay EACH time.) Getting hit does not kill you, but costs you coins. The only major downside I see is the grind involved if you get hit a lot. Still the execution is *chef's kiss*.

Most of the difficulty comes from things you just can't see. Brown spikes against brown tiles, blue spikes in water, ceilings above the screen, etc. I did get a kick out of the homegrown sound effects, though. Gave the game some charm.
