Rating is based on Hard mode
Overall most of game on hard mode was fun. But some saves were kind of annoying to do compare to the rest.

Review based on normal mode.
Very atmospheric game with some unique level design and visuals. It has many stages, each one is kinda themed. The game has some good shit, but what restraining me from giving an higher rating is the stupid corridor corner/diamond spams the game sometimes throw at you. It has also a stunning amount of low jumps, which make your hand hurt faster than what it should. I kinda understand why some people love this game and can see why it has been very influential, but for me it's really getting old, I would have loved it way more if more attention was put into it.
I also tried easy mode, and to be frank it was way more enjoyable than normal mode because is solves most of the problems I talked about (the difficulty change the spike placement). I would recommend people to firstly play easy mode, then try other modes if you really like the atmosphere of the game.

This game is a work of art, and one of my biggest inspirations so far
Great aesthetics, well-done gimmicks, and very fun gameplay aside from a couple of saves later on in the game. I don't know what else to say about this other than play it, the experience is worth every last bit of it.

This game has not aged very well, but I can imagine it being highly rated for its time.
The majority of gimmicks feels forced and unpolished, and the needle is made harder by the visuals which are akin to modern art in style - pretty but shallow.
