Don't really remember why I made this, I only know I did it a few months after Lap Around and then scrapped it until I randomly gave it to bummer after a few years.
note: I think gmsched requires function calls to work which I failed to realize, so if it isn't running at proper FPS, you must apply DBGHELP manually

Much harder than Lap Around.
The main thing i can say is that the difficulty balance is terrible.
Also, unlike Lap Around, it didn't feel like FTFA.
I wouldn't recommend it too much.
I think Lap Around is better than Lap Backwards.

I enjoyed this more than Lap Around because almost every save is designed in a way that the time and deaths I put are compensated with increased consistency. The game is more precise than Lap Around generally, but the inputs feel more comfortable as well. In Lap Around, there are a lot of weird stutters or turnarounds required, whereas in this game, it's more linear-input based and more intuitive which feels much more like FTFA. Even the few required turnaround jumps are designed to be very satisfying, such as the ledge one in save 5, and the corner drop in save 14, those are the jumps that made me literally breathe faster out of satisfaction.
There is a big difficulty jump at save 15 and basically stays until the end. In case of save 15 and 17, the final jump is really difficult, which can be demotivating. However I can't think of saves I hated other than save 16 due to the hand-and-arm-breaking first jump (and probably save 17 which is my personal hardest save, died to the last jump around 30 times).
Well, if you liked Lap Around, probably not recommended because most people who have beaten Lap Around does not like this game lol, but I still think this game has its own charm. Recommended if you like pure needle than FTFA-like games, I guess.

While the original Lap Around is definitely far more deliberate and balanced than this game, I still think Lap Backwards holds it's own as a quality needle experience. There's definitely issues, some saves throw absolutely asinine jumps around like loose change and there's far more annoying bits, but I did enjoy my time with this game. The more spontaneous and "unhinged" style is interesting to me and the general concept behind the game does make it exciting to see how certain sections were interpreted and handled. As a sort of addendum, I find it funny this game and the original even are called FTFA-likes when they play almost nothing like that game, it's pretty silly.

This game was extremely easy up until save 15, which took me like 4x the amount of all the other saves combined, and then other saves gave me a bit of trouble. Had fun with it but I hated the last jump of save 15 so much
