4ステージの中にドットキッドならではの配置が盛りだくさんで、遊びがいがあった。
3ステージ目はかなり難しかったが、全体的にはサクサク進めるような配置になっている。

Rating based on True End.
Take the Memory 2 is a pretty interesting adventure game that forms itself using a storyline, and for the most part, it comes together pretty nicely. It is very much an eastern classic-style game with a lot of needle platforming in it, and at times it definitely does feel pretty bland, but there's also enough interesting stuff about it to make it worth the play.
One of the funniest things I have ever experienced in fangames comes from two of the cutscenes in this, both of which are styled as anime intro cutscenes, great music with some nearly nonsensical visuals going on, it's literally hilarious. There are also some cool stages later on in the game, such as a donkey kong reference and even a weird luck minigame! Sadly, some of the variety is lost at points and it does turn into needle-y segments with some gimmicks, but most of the time they are pretty fun. True End unfortunately seems to have gotten rid of the most interesting stages in favor of only having traditional style screens, and some of the gimmicks there involve making the screen black or spikes invisible so be wary; it also helps to be aware of the kid's sprite since one also turns you invisible too (the bow will still be seen). The bosses are pretty interesting, with most of them being inspired by the stage they are in.
Overall, it does have some faults for losing variety too often, which can be upsetting in a game that's decently long, but I think it is well worth playing anyway if only to experience the epic cutscenes. If you speak Japanese, you might also like the story, but since I can't I sadly will not vouch for it.
