Leehe's 'I don't wanna download this game' was released on May 18th, 2014 - literally 11 years ago.
This game is one of those conceptual games, that raise questions. To understand why, here is what Leehe writes about it in the Readme:
'If you don't download this game,
You Cleared this game.
If you download this game,
You Failed to clear this game.
Maker : Leehe'
If you open up the .exe, you will the screenshot that is published on game's page of DF, that says:
'You Already Download
This Leehe Game!
You Failed to clear this
Game!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!'
Also, you will hear the song 'Cranky - 1970' put in the background.
So, it means that Leehe intended that the only way to beat it is before downloading it. You basically started with cleared game, and you can only reverse process, 'softlocking' yourself and not being able to proceed, making further process impossible, if you wanna follow the idea of the author.
This was one of those games, that I never considered as cleared, since I did actually accidentally download, not knowing what was it. The game was re-uploaded in one of the old VK groups, and I have downloaded it somewhere around mid-summer of 2017, or something like that. I have never even marked when I have downloaded it, since I did not think I would even write this review some day. So, yeah, I 'uncleared' (is that even a word?) it around that time.
The reason I decided to give this game a review is basically because of the game 'I do wanna download this game', that was released earlier this year. It is basically complete opposite game, that you can mark as clear, in case you have downloaded Leehe's game.
While Leehe's concept is quite silly, I do respect his idea, especially for the time when it was made.
Considering, that nowadays information is much more accessible than in the past, there is not even a reason to download this game. This review basically sums up everything that is in this game.
I think the process on how you can get the clear, is just finding this Delicious Fruit page, and instantly putting clear mark, since you did what author tells you, even if you have not seen the readme yourself.
That way this will be the easiest clear on Delicious Fruit, where you do not even need to download the game.
As for me - I am putting 100 difficulty, because I failed to clear this game. However, I will leave both the tag 'Possible' and 'Impossible', because this game is indeed ambivalent.
I could also agree with Opanker's interpretation of what makes this game possible, but that would go against author's requirements for clear. I consider the screen of the game as a death screen rather than 'Thank you for playing' screen. You know?
I will say that for how simple this game is, I was surprised on how much questions it can propose. Normally this would be a 1-2 rating game, but I will make an exception and give it much higher rating, just for the concept and aesthetics. The text with English grammar errors and the funny Leehe font looks excellent with the whimsical background. And the song in the background does make you feel kind of... uneasy, I guess?
Do as Lothjon tells you, but do not fall into the desire to try the game out. There is no game.
I would recommend to not download this game indeed.

This videogame is relevant to the current state of rising clear-list tensions in the Iwanna community. I won't comment much more in-depth on that because I live in relative comfort in Italy but what I can grasp is that the world as a whole is moving closer to monke. With that being said, I gave this game a perfect rating because it caused me to think. It had a strong impression on me, causing me to think about the meaning of the current state of what's happening in the world. Sure, I still have to get up & live my life but the truth is that we ALL have hurt someone or done worse but at the end of the day, it's realizing our mistakes & thinking about the effect it has on other people. I'm very aware that things arent that cut & dry but at the same time they really are. I enjoy a cheap piece of entertainment once in awhile to take my mind off things but this kind of clear is getting harder to come across & deserves recognition. I've seen others comments about this game being confusing or meaningless but....that's life. It welcomes you in & then spanks you. Last but not least, the gameplay in this game is pretty damn good so in a nutshell, if your into games that provoke emotion layered with a historically based plot & players performing with skill then this one is worth all of its 0 hours. Enjoy.

very intimidating game, like what if you get kidnapped and they force you to download this game? would you do it? that's one less clear on your clear list FOREVER... think about it, life itself lasts decades, but the consequences for downloading this game are eternal.

I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was, [15% Downloaded]. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at [60% Downloaded] that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of fangame history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a fangame, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and level design while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece, I was brought to tears downloading this game, it absolutely moved my soul, and I don't think I can ever be the same. this fangame has changed my entire mental state, I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on, gotta move on, as the game says. the game is so inspirational, it shares it vast wisdom with all of us, and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on I don't wanna download this game. hail I don't wanna download this game. hail I don't wanna download this game. Downloading the game, the download status escalating with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a game do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the game finishes downloading, showing its funny image. I can hear the music just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the harmonic singing, synced to the download process. The progression, music and everything can be heard, enjoyed, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this game. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any IWBTG fangame I have ever played. The game was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a fangame I have ever seen especially on [60% Downloaded]. I am crying. This has made me go through an emotional rollercoaster. I cried, played Subway Surfers, and also watched a movie while downloading this game. This has made me go through so much. I passed depression because of this. It really inspired me to become an outstanding young man. well pleased like this game. Thank you.
