I'm going to start by saying I don't like posting negative reviews, I'm making this the exception because apparently this game is special and reviews that don't fellate it mysteriously disappear.
I can tell there is a lot of care put into this game and I appreciate that, but gameplay wise this is honestly one of the worst experiences I've had while playing fangames.
It starts out with a cool needle screen, and that's pretty much the only part I found enjoyable. I wish there was more like it in this game.
Afterwards you're thrown into a hub with what appears to be a freedom to explore and play levels in whatever order you want. This is wrong, the game blocks your progress and forces you to beat some of the first 4 stages before letting you continue even though to finish the game you need to beat every stage anyways. Since the last stage is blocked until you complete everything else, I wish I was given freedom to check out every stage from the beginning.
And for the main reason I dislike the game, the stages themselves. Every single stage feels like it was made with an avoidance mindset, that is to say, extremely long and learny sections where I get the impression the maker is able to test sections of a save out separately, and since each part is learny, you as a maker can get consistent at the later parts of a save much more easily than a player would. I'm not saying you did this, I'm saying that's the impression I get from this kind of design.
Even the stage where instead of double jumping, you turn upside down, which I thought I'd love after seeing the concept, turned into a chore because of how long it is.
That's my main problem with this, the extreme lack of saves which by itself would already be annoying, coupled with the inherent learny sections that come with the different mechanics introduced here. It feels like an avoidance game that tries to pass itself as a needle game.
Still, to end this review, I'm going to say that even if I disliked what you made here, I'll still look forward to whatever you make in the future if you ever do. Hope this doesn't discourage you as a maker.

Just a short meme thing that doesn't really make sense, wouldn't recommend it.

This game tells the tale of the Gobou Sword, a legendary burdock said to hold various mystical properties that have become the greatest desire of many. The hero is but a kid of normal nature, but when his village is raided by demons who believe the Burdock Sword may be found there he will discover his own strengths in order to bring peace to the realm. It's a grand story filled with various characters, exciting twists, and some of the most unique gameplay you'll ever find in a fangame. It's a story you'll never forget and is absolutely worth every minute of your time.
Right off the bat, not only is Gobou a stellar adventure game, it's one of the only fangames I believe is truly aiming for an "RPG" tag. The majority of the gameplay revolves around fighting enemies, you have different weapons you can toggle between that each has different uses and effects, you have stamina and a magic point system, you have special buffs and debuffs for yourself and enemies, and of course, you even have a skill tree you can respec at any time. This all together makes for a highly entertaining playthrough that makes it stand out from any other fangame that I've played. Now I will of course admit there are some off-putting segments here and there, but everything in the game makes up for those anyways.
Some additional points that make the game really cool are the boss fights and the storyline. Each boss feels like an action-packed battle in which you have multiple ways you can approach them due to the weapon system. Some of them do have some questionable attacks, but the majority of them are excellent bosses that make the game what it is. Now the storyline is something that's only told in Japanese, but using Google translate on my phone I was able to experience a rough translation of the game and really enjoyed the storyline told in the game. If you're going to play the game, I really recommend doing so as well since it will vastly increase your enjoyment knowing how everything fits into place.
Overall, Gobou is one of the best action-packed adventures out there on Delfruit, so I would highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a grand adventure.

Difficulty can vary a lot person by person, so I gave a rather arbitrary value.
Nice short save flow needle, using many jtool objects to make player do interesting movement.
I had a lot of fun in all screens except last save.
Would recommend.

An invert, a diamond and then a couple easy spike jumps. 1 point for the screen transition effect.
