Fangame Clear #10
Really unsure about this one.
The beginning was just simply boring outside of the few "swag routes" you could do, and there's really nothing interesting until the 60s where stuff starts becoming hard enough to actually die. The 70s just kinda spammed breakable blocks which was, not exactly the best. The 80 boss just felt like pure rng for very little reason, even though it most certainly isn't. It just, is very basic in a not-so-good way.
The 80 floors are not very good either, the difficulty kind of just goes all over the place, certain screens being the hardest things in the game by a substantial amount, and others being freebies. The 90s were painfully average.
The final boss is just not good at all. Every attempt is essentially a waiting game for a full minute while you wait until the first phase is done, and then you have to learn the entire rest past that, which means every time you learn something new, you must wait a full minute through boring, bland, and dragging gameplay.
Overall, I really don't find this game to be quite what it's chalked up to be. I find it very boring throughout most of its runtime.

This was the first fangame I ever played, and as such it's going to always have a special place in my heart. Definitely one of the best fangames out there for absolute beginners... until 79 that is. Once you get there, the game has a pretty big difficulty spike which can make things annoying for new players (I myself put the game down for a bit once I got to 84 and went on to beat other things before finishing this out). The 80s and 90s themselves are pretty fun beginner stages, but the tedium of the final boss's first phase knocks the game down a peg or two. A pretty good introduction to fangames, but definitely not my first recommendation, that honor goes to Octophobia.

So this is the first fangame I actually finished (after having tried Boshy and K2 and ..yeah). It didn't take long, since this game is so ridiculously well designed in terms of difficulty curve. There were only a few rooms that stood out in terms of being too hard or too easy for their area, but overall I really enjoyed this. All the bosses are kinda just there, they're all pretty free once you figure out what they do. Has some replay value since it's short enough to speedrun and it has some needle-ish shortcuts in the first few stages for experienced players (aka not me).

Probably my favorite fangame that I have cleared so far. Great for new or intermediate players. Manages to make things interesting without being ball bustingly difficult.
