Update: As I understand the game is quite long and not everyone is interested in all of it, there is now a post-game clear save available here which you can place in your AppData\Local\IWBTOP\Data path (similar to any studio game) to use and access whichever areas do interest you.
This is a very lengthy adventure game, intended to provide the player with a wide array of nearly everything that fangames offer including a large variety of platform and boss gimmicks, tied together with a cheesy story of reversed roles where you play as your favorite secondary fangame character (or the kid, for familiarity) seeking solace under the sea.
Requires mouse use for certain situations though none that are time restrictive, and has a couple of optional online features including leaderboards and version checking (available from 1.02 onward).
Current version is 1.21
A new character model is available in 1.21
Those on version 1.1 should update asap as it unfortunately introduced a crash risk.

I've always divided my enjoyment of fangames along two axes: "production value" and gameplay, and the more a fangame excels along one axe, the more it can get away with in the other axe. Now, don't take that to mean that Ocean Princess is all production value and meh corridor needle; let's elaborate.
On one hand, the amount of effort put into all the small details is insane; details like the pause menu, the "overworld", the variety of player skins, the soundtrack, the story. On the other, while a good chunk of the game *is* corridor needle, there's a huge variety of gimmicks and other variations to mix things up: a speedrun segment, minigames and trials, shoot-em-ups, chase segments. On top of that there's optional stars to collect, a couple of which I skipped because they didn't feel worth my time, but I still got about 80% of them. The only stage I actively disliked was stage 10, which has very long needle saves, but all the other stages range from good to excellent, with my favorites being stage 4, stage 9 and the last two stages
The highlight of Ocean Princess, however, are the bosses and avoidances, which I won't spoil here but are some of the most creative I've seen in a fangame, particularly Nova, Medusa, The Darkness, Kraken and the final boss rush + avoidance/boss
Overall a very long adventure but not so difficult that it becomes frustrating, with great bosses and creative gimmicks and gameplay through most of it. Definitely a fangame classic that I'd recommend to any fangame player that's experienced enough to not get too frustrated with the needle segments.

Absolutely fantastic Needleventure from start to end. I didn't like the bosses in Act 1 and Final boss but I loved everything else. Each stage brings in a new gimmick and managed to stay fresh over this long journey.

Awesome and very long needle-adventure game with varied content and a lot to enjoy, though some of it isn't always the most fun, it's massive scope is enough to keep me hooked.

Of all the fangames that I've played, this is truly the one that easily encapsulates everything I think of by the word "Adventure", it is for sure the greatest journey I have taken in fangames to date. There is needle, avoidance, gimmicks, bosses, puzzles, multiple varying mechanics, online leaderboards, minigames, the list of what this game has is truly endless, all spanning a mighty length of 12 stages.
For me, this game has always been a mark on my bucket list of fangames to beat, a bookmark listed above all others as something I'd like to one day beat, a finale that I could be happy with. To not only finally accomplish this, and to also obtain every single star as well, is something I never expected to actually do, and now it leaves me stunned knowing this behemoth has been slain. I went in thinking what an enjoyable time this would be, and had my expectations blown out the water by a masterpiece.
Of all the memorable aspects of the game, of which there are dozens, these are some of my favorites: My favorite stage overall is without a doubt the triple/quadruple stage in the sky that ends with Nova, whom I also consider to be my favorite boss. The atmosphere in this stage is easily my favorite in the game, and I really enjoyed how it all compiled together to get more and more interesting with the jumps. Nova itself is something I consider an absolutely perfect boss, the greatest in the game by far, and one of the most satisfying moments in a fangame I've ever played is in its death sequence. Also, the minesweeper needle is one of the most interesting executions I've seen done to platforming; the game in general just excels at throwing a load of brilliant puzzle platforming at you without being obnoxious. The music choice is pretty stellar as well, all the two steps from hell and fantasy orchestra stuff absolutely suit the game. And finally the ending sequence of the game, I mean hell once I reached the final stage I didn't stop playing till 5AM because I couldn't bring myself to not finish; it is truly a grand finale to a grand adventure.
I couldn't recommend this game more, it's absolutely superb in every way. Before you start your journey, I highly recommend reading the Read-Me and checking the in-game settings, as there are a lot of accessibility stuff to look for, especially a setting that changes bosses between having I-Frames or being Mashable (can be helpful depending on the fight). If you enjoy the game enough, consider going for all 41 stars that the game has, they are completely optional but will allow you to truly experience what challenges the lands hold.
Absolute masterpiece Kurath, I hope this game continues to inspire the community for years to come.
