I really enjoyed the first 2 stages and the 2nd Stage Boss was my favorite part of the game, but then after that the game didn't really click with me. I respect the effort that went into this game, the visuals are phenomenal, just not for me I guess.

I playtested this game quite a few times. I have completed every section, and am working towards 100%, I will most likely come back to this review once I have done so. I am also leaving the extra content out of this review as well, because it would skew the difficulty and my rating, although you should totally try the extra, it's really fun. My difficulty rating based on the Normal Mode of the game.

This game rocks.

From the moment you open the game you're hit with an awesome looking title screen and file select screen. The file you choose starts with an empty lifeless planet visual, and as you complete more the game, objects and characters appear on the planet, which is a neat little detail. There are two difficulties to choose from when starting a file, Easy, being listed around 35-50 difficulty with no access to the extra content, and Normal, being listed around 50-70 difficulty with all content available. When you finally start the game after admiring all the details, you are greeted with a welcoming voice to SUPERPLANET KG.

The hub world looks great, sounds great, and is very fun to explore, with many characters making cameos around their respective games, each of them having their own dialogue that's either funny, helpful for beginners, or even a hint to some sort of secret. This being said, the hub world allows you to approach the games in any order you like, which bring us to the games themselves.

All 5 of the games in the collection all have their own unique little charm, story, gimmicks, and vibe. The visuals and music in every single game are incredible, you can tell how much effort went into the visuals, and I can tell you as a playtester that many of the songs were changed many times to better fit the visuals and gameplay. Even the tutorial screen has great visuals and music, as well as a bunch of goofy sign characters.

The achievements are a nice little cherry on top of the excellent content in the game which add a good bit of replayability, and getting the secret achievements are some of the most fun parts of the game.

After all of this, you may wonder why I'm not giving this game a 10/10, and it is due to me not really enjoying the gimmicks of Cape May's first and second stage as much as the other gimmicks in the game. It's not bad, far from it, I just didn't like it, and you're allowed to disagree, this is just text on a screen bro.

I 100% recommend this game to fangamers and non-fangamers alike, it was a blast to play. What a great way to end it off KG, thanks for making such a good game.

It is unreal that something like this exists. The CPUs have incredible AI which is mind boggling to me, I've been absolutely destroyed on a few minigames by them. I played a few rounds, some with people some with bots, and I had such a fun time with the game.

The amount of characters and maps puts recent games of the Mario Party franchise to shame, and even though there are a bit less minigames than I'd like, they are all high quality and replayable. The challenges are a fun surprise as well, for more of the tryhard fans of the minigames.

And let's not forget the online. I haven't once had a moment where someone lagged or had issues with their connection, the online is just phenomenal.

With more updates containing maps and minigames, (which happens automatically, no redownloading required I'm assuming, based on the few patches the game received), this could very well be Fangame of the Year. What a treat, thank you for making this absolute gem of a game.

I just got around to playing this game, due to hearing great things about it, and after playing through it, I can definitely see where it was coming from. I do have a few issues with the game, but first I'll talk about what I did like.

The visuals and sound design are absolutely phenomenal. Every second of this game was great to look at and great to listen to. Even when I died (which was more times than I'd like to admit), the game over screen had a fun tune to hear.

The stages were, for the most part, very enjoyable to me. While some games I feel were extremely similar to their originals, I feel that they added a good bit of fangame charm to them, which I really enjoyed. Some people say that the Monkey Ball State was too long, but it was probably my favorite stage out of them all, it was really fun to play.

Not all stages made me feel this way, however. The Sonic stage in particular was not very fun in my opinion, it just didn't feel similar to Sonic much and the platforming felt very off to me. The Ganbare Goemon 2 stage wasn't my favorite but the boss redeemed it for me, so I'll give it a bit of a pass.

The part that really felt the worst to me though was the Gunstar stage. Gunstar Heroes is one of my top 5 favorite games of all time and I really wanted to see something cool get done with it, but I was disappointed. It was just stage 4 of Gunstar, with less of the features that made Gunstar fun in the first place, e.g. holding multiple weapons and the kick/throw, along with the minibosses. I know it would've maybe been difficult learning all the controls for some people, but I can't help but feel a bit sad about it. Despite this, I did like that the enemy movement was incredibly faithful to the original, which definitely surprised me.

I don't hate this game, far from it. It was an overall positive experience, however the hype for it really set the bar a bit higher than what I actually experienced.

This game is incredible.

Super great atmosphere, music, story, and most of all, gimmicks. The gimmicks in this game blew my mind. The base stages themselves were already great, but then there was more of them which mixed together gimmicks that I couldn't even begin to imagine could be combined. You managed to make a gimmick that just straight up kills you when you bonk enjoyable. Great stuff.

The only parts of the game I didn't enjoy that much were the robot crab thingy boss and the gravity block alternate stage (or "harder" stage, I dunno what to call it, but its got the red doors), however I'm pretty sure me complaining about them is just a skill issue.

All around incredible game, and will likely be doing 100% and getting all the endings some time in the near future. Thanks for making this, what a great first major title.
