every game i've left a rating or review on i have cleared.
clear list is only used for monumental or impactful clears, or my favourite clears.
(My favourite games tab is different to my clears tab).
I don't tend to give rating or difficulty values anymore, since it's meaningless and was demotivating to be placed alongside people who didn't play through the game, or can't tell the difference between a problem with the game or themselves.

For: I Wanna Black Another
it's a great game, i love the aesthetics outside of the main avoidance, good music, the practice things (or however you'd call them) are a really cool addition (not really a spoiler, but just in-case you want to go into the game blind), and the ability to change screen shake is a cool touch too, though personally i didn't use it because having it go wild was part of the fun
super cool attacks inside the actual avoidance, love the song ofc, and i think the representation of the song was really exceptional aswell, a good few attacks that fit perfectly alongside the song and almost everything is synced to the music not just the beats but the melodies too etc, created a super intense experience and definetly raised my nerves a lot at the end :sob:
gameplay i found to be almost completely great, the game does seem more intense than it is at certain points but i don't think that's really a downside and it makes you feel like an absolute madman while playing so i'm definitely not complaining about that, i did find it *decently* unbalanced, well, the section at 0:54-1:10 to be a decent bit above any other section in difficulty, i think this is because it can range from really hard to not too challenging depending on how quick its moving imo, but like any other part of this game it got very consistent after a little bit, it just takes a good chunk longer than any other section to actually get consistent at.
Edit: I didn't really go into much detail but the game's attacks are effectively 100% consistent (i think, unless you pull some unbelievable rng at like the start), it's just a matter of learning & getting consistent and the game supports this linear progression with it's practice system letting you practice and then progress it rarely if ever feels like you had no control over your deaths, and the attacks are super engaging too.
overall, loved it, my favourite avoidance currently as of writing this, super intense and fun with a cool hub aswell. Would heavily recommend giving this a shot.
also i agree with murzikk i'd suggest playing this blind, i did (except for seeing the first ~30s which made me play the game before it released here), and it was a super cool experience, did almost pee my pants at the end though.
For: I Want My Struggles To Like Me Again
Alike Oti's other game, I played this at midnight in complete darkness, I would actually recommend other people do so (just playing it in darkness in general, though, be warned, you will get flashbanged..) as it really immerses you into the game's atmosphere and is such a cool experience.
The game itself going into more detail comprises of darker visuals and elements, but a really cool and enjoyable ending aswell, i personally loved the long save at the end, and the ice vines too, from what i've seen making good needle gameplay at this difficulty range with long saves is pretty difficult to do so in a fair way especially when the player doesn't know how long the save is, but i think this game does it right, massive props (ending stage spoilers)
overall, really nice visuals that were a massive vibe with good atmosphere, great soundtrack, good gameplay and not too difficult, hard recommend.
For: How I See World In Desaturated Colors
Update: I'm realising I didn't really talk about the *contents* of the game itself, rather talking about my experience, which was great ofc, but the game is just in general really high quality, it's a darker atmosphere than most needle games in this difficulty range, and the visuals consist of well, desaturated places, with enough variance in the design that it's not repetitive or anything, I really enjoyed these environments, good ambience and music aswell that helped add to the atmosphere. I'll now talk about the story, i see a good few people labelling it edgy and so on, and i guess i can't deny it falls into that category, but, it's really good, i do quite like the ending, quite a lot actually, i think it's done super well, yes, including the music cut-off and the semi-loud jumpscare (ending spoilers) but you can see how the story affects the world around it. Also the gameplay is really nice, it introduces some casual good gimmicks that aren't too heavily complicated or confusing and don't take up the entirety of the gameplay either, it's a good balance.
Also I actually think the gimmick that is stated explicitly in the README.txt file That you should read before playing the game is good. I completely understand not liking the game as much because of such, but, I've seen atleast 2 reviews on here saying that it is completely not mentioned or warned about, which is just wrong. And i think it adds to the game personally, it makes the game feel more personal and not persay replicatable, and well, it also ties into the story in a great way, but i'd get not finding the game as fun as a result, but i think it's actually innovative and cool imo..
Overall, hard recommend, read the file called readme though, but it's not a bad gimmick or anything, and, it's a great game and i truely love it, amazing experience going through this in the dead of night in complete darkness :)
For: I Wanna Healthy
Then again, everyone else seems to have enjoyed this so maybe don't take this review with a considerable amount of realism to it, but I really didn't enjoy playing this, I took 16 minutes ingame to clear and i think ¬70% of that time was on 2 or 3 screens specifically, I found it incredibly unbalanced and the harder saves to be really unfun.
on the contrary, those easier saves are quite good gameplay, and are pretty enjoyable, so i'd still probably recommend this just maybe not if this isn't considerably below your skill level
For: Not Another Needle Game
I do think it's an amazing game overall, it's incredibly high quality and has so much charm to it, I also think all the positives have already been well-stated by other reviewers, but it is a great amount of fun with so many good gimmicks that have been well used and is very funny aswell.
my only real complaint is that there is no pause menu, at first admittedly i was hesitant on pressing esc incase i had to re-launch the whole game again, and this might be schizophrenia, but i swear, when i was perfectly safe sometimes i would be afk and die when not looking at the screen after a while... maybe this game is just haunted though (this didn't change my rating given ofc dont worry)
otherwise, i did think screens 170-180 were too difficult or just inconsistent, i found room 180 to be possibly the easiest aswell other than the last jump before the 2nd save, and many of the other rooms were somewhat demotivating to play due to having very quick inputs back to back, atleast i found it that my keyboard did not want to co-operate sometimes, and in general i think they are such a difficulty spike, the rest of the game is like ~40-50 diff needle gameplay if you have a base understanding of each gimmick, and then i found those 10 rooms to be ~60 diff, i also think it's a big of a weird state for new players, because i could see those 10 rooms to be incredibly infuriating for players who would have to spend a considerable amount of time on them, but overall, i didn't find it too be much of an issue, certainly not enough to lower the rating much, and i'd still recommend it.
overall, game is amazing, love it, would highly recommend, will be going for the 100% clear soon after i finish some other things aswell!
