I played this game a few months back, and never got around to reviewing it. I am pretty sure I had a long list of things I wanted to put in this review, but sadly I forgot most of what I wanted to say.
Part of the reason I played this game in general was because of the lack of reviews for how much it was advertised, so I feel like it would be wrong of me just to leave a score without sharing any of my thoughts.
If you are a beginner looking for a fun and recent adventure game, I definitely recommend this game. It has happy characters to talk to, a few unique gimmicks, and decently fun bosses.
To be honest though, I think my rating would be like 3 points lower had I played on normal mode.

For: I Wanna Escape The Poolrooms
I loved everything about this game. Almost everything about it made me happy, I can't think of a single time playing I wasn't immersed and having fun. Also the clowns were amazing.
-0.2 points for no backtracking (i cried after discovering i couldn't go back and get my soggy mango)
-0.2 points for some silly spike placements not being fun at all (i hate dying like 2 minutes into executing a puzzle)
If you are reading this and are looking for a fun fangame for all skill levels, I would attempt to escape the poolrooms.

For: Heart-Shaped Triangle
For: Heart-Shaped Triangle
(This review is based on the first 2 areas, and could be biased because I received a stage)
(i also played the easiest difficultly lol)
Part of the reason I give this game such a high review is not just because it was amazing to play, but also the heart behind it. "Heart-Shaped Triangle" is a game that serves as a Christmas gift to some of the people who have had a positive impact on QED, which is a really really sweet idea for a game. Making a game with the intention to show your appreciation for others is very selfless.
Because of this, even though I was unable to beat the game, I want to show that I appreciate the care QED put into this project.
Both areas to play made me feel joy, and I am not sure how to quantify that lol. I had a lot of fun playing it, and there are few things that I felt would benefit from changing. Being said though, it is a needle game that definitely matches QEDs style. From what I played, it feels like QED stayed mostly in his comfort zone which I am more than happy with because I love QED's needle lol. Despite the fact that I had the best time I could playing it, it felt to me like an above average QED level, and not something crazy unique.
All of this to say, I had a lot of fun playing the gifts, and I am super excited to see all the other exciting games QED will create in the future!!
