I play fangames or stuff.
I try rating game compared to what they are trying to achieve rather than compared to fangames as a whole, and with knowledge of what you're getting into; If I rate a corridor needle game, I assume the person reading the review wants to play corridor needle, as if they don't they shouldn't bother playing it anyway. With that said, I tend to be very generous on needle ratings while being very skimpy on avoidances (although you likely won't see it as if I'd give it less than a 7 I just won't clear it instead).
with extremely rare exceptions, 9/10+ is reserved to games that have left deep emotional impact, while 10/10 is reserved for games I love unconditionally.
If I reviewed it and the review doesn't say otherwise, it's safe to assume I cleared it. I try adding my clears to df but I never really cared to keep track, so some might be missing.
don't expect diff ratings to be very accurate.

Enjoy My Dreams is a 10 screen needle game of average difficulty. Difficulty progression is pretty weird, starting at the easiest and ending at the hardest, but devolving into complete chaos in the middle. The needle style in theory focuses on weaves and turnarounds in a freeform environment, but in practice it is overshadowed by overuse of fulljumps, which also mean that it takes a while to move between jumps and so interrupt the weaving flow, as well as short save length which also interrupts the general screen progression flow. Above all, though, the game feels incohesive. The 10 screens are divided into 5 groups of 2 with a unique song and tileset each, with some featuring significant changes to gameplay, and due to the low-ish difficulty of most of them they go by fairly quickly resulting in the game having no cohesive identity. Despite everything I've said, there is some fun to be had here, although not as much as I would expect to see in a year or two from this maker. Not bad for a first fangame, and I wouldn't recommend against playing it, but there are improvements to be made both on the needle and the general gamemaking side of things before it can truly shine.

I wanna Scale the Red Needle is a needle game of 8 saves placed inside an ascending tower, in a style that is an unprecedented fusion of the extremely claustrophobic and cramped style with the modern freeform weaving engine-gimmick-heavy style to result in a game that asks for a long stream of inputs that require just enough precision that you have to be accurate and pay attention in every one without making anything too hard or meatgrindy. The needle and especially the style are the highlights of the game, providing a very unique needle experience that feels hard and hectic without actually requiring too much of the player, and is surprisingly easy to build consistency in. The difficulty curve is exponential, with all the difficulty coming from the final save, which is a giant banger and extremely fun to grind. The game has a spotlight effect, which when combined with the already dark screen results in difficulties in ascertaining future jumps in a save beyond the very next one, and the general darkness may cause strain when trying to execute precise setups, which occur infrequently throughout the game but don't take away from the freeform focus. Overall I will say that this game was a blast to grind and I am proud that it is my hardest clear at the time of writing this, and that it's a shame more people don't know of it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious needle challenge and isn't afraid of 16px or claustrophobic design.

I usually have a fairly strict policy on high ratings: To rate a game 9/10 or above means that I feel the game is special to me in some way, and is of outstanding quality. A 10/10, consequentially, is a game I care about deeply, a game that I love despite any flaws it may have, sometimes precisely because of those flaws.
Within a week, I have encountered 2 exceptions to that policy, one of which is this game. I couldn't bring myself to rate it less, despite not meeting my criteria.
I wanna vibe with the gods is a game best described as a gimmick+boss game, with 10 rooms of gimmicks of varying levels of thinking, learning and execution requirements. Thankfully, none of these get too esoteric and those that might gatekeep people from the rest of the game can be skipped. Despite using established gimmicks, they are for the most part used in extremely interesting ways that I have not seen before and force even players familiar with the gimmicks to stop and think, with some design concepts that absolutely blew me away.
Despite the level of quality in the platforming, the final boss easily outshines it. It is a loosely Crimson-style boss built on themes of attack complexity and learning factor, forcing the player to find a strat, then replace it with a better one, then polish it, then abandon it for an even better one, and so on and so forth for the vast majority of attacks in the fight, which is achieved in no small part by giving the player a much higher degree of control over attacks without placing restrictions on movement in the process.
Unfortunately, this review has been left intentionally vague so as to not spoil anything important, since this game in particular is extremely prone to it. However, this is a must-play to anyone who does not have a deep and innate distaste to either gimmicks or bosses and has the required skill to beat it without spending exorbitant amounts of time.

For: Another Bad Barrage
A simple barrage on the easier side. Comes with a hit mode that allows you to find out that the avoidance is much longer than you'd initially expect, and find out the spots that might give you trouble in advance. There are some rough transitions and attacks that would cause inexperienced players a bit of trouble, and I also think that there could have been a better way to map the intro to make it interesting while not taking the spotlight off the more intense parts rather than have it be much easier than most of the attacks later on, but it was overall decently fun. Would probably recommend to intermediate avoidance players as a chill 30 minutes or less session.

Rating for main game only; Extra is probably around 80 diff and 7 rating, but I have yet to beat it (on final screen rn).
Kirlian Fumble is a needle game about a dozen screens in length with heavy usage of engine gimmicks and cherries, in a space that is neither open nor claustrophobic, with a unique visual and needle style revolving around 16 pixel gaps and unusual spike formations. Despite being inspired by stumble I'd say they're very different; Nevertheless, the game stands very well on its own, and I'd like to see more.
