I had fun with this though IMO most of the difficulty is in figuring out the pathing of the later levels; the needle itself, once figured, is fairly easy. It might cause you to stop and think a bit, but this isn't something that newer players would need to avoid. So, with that in mind I'm going against the grain. I believe the difficulty rating should be a fair bit lower than it sits currently. Getting through this one isn't going to be so reliant on a traditional fangame skillset.

First it gave an out of memory error and wouldn't start. After running it through GM8_fix it started, but when I moseyed on over to options to change the controls and enable vsync it freaked out HARD, locked my computer up entirely to the point where not even Ctrl+Shift+Tab or Alt+F4 could save me; I had to flip the power switch.
Interesting concept, but not sure it was quite the fangame experience I was expecting.
Maybe I'll try it again if it gets patched.

Finally got around to playing this and after playing all I can really say is that I should have done it sooner. I don't want to go through the whole rigmarole of describing every last gimmick used, but I do want to echo to sentiment that the needle design and overall feeling of this one puts Arzztt into the upper echelon of the most elite fangame designers of the modern era. Playing this makes me think that maybe I should give a few more of Arrzzt's releases a go as before playing this I tended to avoid them as my general impression before now that he was the "VVVVVV-gimmick" guy only, a gimmick that I'm personally not that fond of. In any case, I highly recommend this to anyone who has the skills to play it. I don't think it's quite a "70" on difficulty, but it definitely has an "experienced fangamers ONLY" barrier to entry.

Finally got around to playing this today and damn I love it. It's not too difficult to get through in a single sitting for an experienced player, but it's got that you-know it-when-you-see-it-but-can't-quite-put-to-words-why rewarding feeling with nearly every screen. This is the type of game that makes me want to play it again and again until I can do it perfectly.
-0.2 only because of an annoying visual glitch causing the kid's bow to constantly flash blue whenever I do a jump. (Yes, that's a joke, I know it's just a d-jump indicator. It's just that I hate it.)

I'd have less of a problem with the recent trend of Scratch-engine games if at least one of them would bother to add customizable controls and music mute.
