For: Designer L's Wacky Randventure!
Randventure perhaps sounds like a horrible idea. A game where everything from the position of blocks to the player physics is randomized? Blatent intentional luck checks? It sounds like a nightmare. And yet, it turns out to be an incredibly fun experience. The RNG is well tuned, the luck checks aren't a hassle, the gimmicks are creative, and ultimately the unpredictability makes it so much more memorable. I found myself utterly enthralled by the humor and creativity on display. Every screen is just a "what could possibly be next" moment. Nothing overstays its welcome, and its all well put together such that the RNG never feels like a chore. The amount of skill on display makes a complete luck fest feel like a hand crafted experience. Overall, this is an amazing game, and easily recommended for those who like the wackier side of fangames.

For: I wanna be the Promin

Promin has some good parts, but ultimately is not recommendable. The first stage starts off awesome, with some interesting gimmicks and platforming, but that swiftly changes upon introduction of the swinging vines. They are so poorly implemented, janky, and frustrating that the screens using them are just a chore, often with annoying traps. The first boss is quite bad, with some really annoying RNG that screws you more often than not.
The second stage is really good, and I wish it was longer/the entire game. The integration of RPG mechanics is awesome, and the enemy fights are varied and interesting. The first section is perhaps too mazy, but this is just paying homage to the source material so whatever. The boss is really fun, although still contains some unfortunate transitions that can screw you.
The third stage is a pretty awful medley. It chooses screens with a lot of uninspired traps, and then removes saves so you have to do multiple in a row. Yay. The avoidance is alright, but has some major problems that make it a bad experience. First, an obscene amount of insta-gib attacks, like fast aimed attacks, bullets changing direction suddenly, and unpredictable shape bursts. It's the kind of avoidance where you dodge trivially easy patterns, moderately difficult RNG, and make a little more progress before learning the next thing that's going to kill you, and then just repeating for every five seconds of progress. Secondly, the bullets in some attacks are randomly colored, and if it chooses light colors on the light background, the entire pattern will be significantly harder to see. There's a few fun attacks mixed in, but ultimately it's more frustrating than interesting.
Overall, the first part of the first stage and the entire second stage are quite fun, and worth playing, but the rest of the content isn't so unfortunately you probably shouldn't bother.

For: I wanna travel alone
Travel Alone is a short but sweet adventure game. There's some really fun platforming, a few minibosses, and some really awesome multi-phase boss fights. The platforming and gimmicks within are creative and fun to figure out and play. The bosses are the real highlight, with some interesting attacks and soundtrack and visuals that create a really hype fight. The voice acting is just an extra touch that makes the game feel special. One small gripe, the ending felt abrupt, and the story unsatisfyingly resolved. Otherwise, a top notch game that's a lot of fun all the way through.

A whole lot of unpleasant design packed into a game without much good past the creativity. The platforming is decent, but with some annoying traps and a difficulty spike generic needle stage at the end. The button tower at the start is probably the most interesting thing in the game. The painting stage was a novel idea, but executed poorly with awkward jumps and annoying cycles.
The real reason my rating is so long is the bosses. All of them really outstayed their welcome, and would benefit from lower health. The first couple are just kind of boring with some annoying RNG, but starting at the black and white avoidance they get really unfun. The avoidance is filled with wallable RNG, and like 3 of those awkward tap move attacks that just destroy your fingers without really bringing anything to the table. The destination boss had the potential to be the best part of the game, but it's so hard to actually hit the boss it just drags on and annoys you. The final boss is the worst, with several attacks where you're stuck in a tight spot with RNG projectiles coming at you, that seem to provide impossible RNG way too frequently. There are also several sections where you can't see attacks, because they're yellow on yellow or black on black. There are also multiple instagibs, making it a learny and luck dependent fight. The arena is nonsensical, with the kid bonking his head where the walls meet the floor instead of at the ceiling. This just makes it even more awkward to fight.
Finally, there are a few major bugs. The timer is super broken, and will randomly reset your time to what is was when you saved when you respawn. Also, in the final stage resetting would make the screen flash with another room, which is really annoying. Both of these are quite obvious, so it seems to suggest either a lack of testing, which is furthered by all the attacks which have impossible RNG an alarming amount of the time.

Pretty abysmal by the end, as the game quickly becomes named jump spam, with 5 diagonals per screen. Shoutout to the infinite jump stage which used the gimmick in the worst way possible. Mostly lacking in the famous pathing that makes later entries in the series special. The bosses are interesting, but trivially easy compared to the needle, and the final boss is a bit too tanky. Overall, wouldn't recommend this game, go play the others in the series instead.
