Despite having an excellent aesthetic and really well put together visuals, I unfortunately cannot recommend Scare at all, due to the extremely unpleasant nature of the gameplay. Some parts of it are passable, although in every stage there is little fear to be gained, as any scary sequence is broken up with annoyingly difficult generic needle, and boring flying spike traps. The places where the traps make an effort to follow the theming, i.e. monsters coming out of the walls, are cool, but 2/3 traps are just flying spikes or the like. Every stage had at least one, but often several screens that were awful to play, with segments that were way too precise (eye clock thing in the top left) or completely unintuitive (the multiple occasions where you suddenly need to use the mouse). The House stage, despite having incredible visuals and some legitimately creepy stuff, is abysmal to play, with every screen having unpleasant platforming and nonsense solutions to obstacles, as well as lots of needless downtime. The real lowpoint of the game is the bosses, which range from bad to worse. Some of them could be passed off as a generic and boring but acceptable fight. However the bottom two bosses were some of the least enjoyable fights I've played in a while. With a lot of inscrutable patterns and shitty rng, they're just awful grindfests. Additionally, there are a number of ear destroying sounds, such as a boss that starts every single attempt with an ear splitting screech. The House Girl boss was significantly harder than the rest, and also the least fun.
Ultimately, this game should not be played. It's unfortunate, because it looks so good, but the game design is very very bad.

StS is a game that unfortunately had a lot of great ideas that it could not always live up to.
The first major area is Mario themed, and frankly I didn't enjoy any of it. The throwing gimmick isn't very fun, and the traps were annoying and not very funny. The boss of this area, Mecha Birdo, is really unfun, with weird hitboxes on the platforms, and some annoying RNG. It's also harder than a lot of later bosses.
The next area was Baba themed, and perhaps the biggest disappointment. The Baba gimmicks are barely used for puzzles, instead just making some boring platforming. Additionally, there is a really weird and obtrusive kill border that seriously saps enjoyment. The boss is kinda lame too, it doesn't even make an effort to use Baba rules to describe the boss.
Next, Isaac. This area could've been cool, but it's incredibly buggy. Half the time you can't shoot and move at the same time, which makes it impossible to play since this is a core part of Isaac. It's also over as soon as it begins, not really taking advantage of the Isaac style items.
Next, Spelunky. This area was decent, although it felt too far divorced from the source material. On the very first screen, I tried to pick up a landmine, something you can do in Spelunky, and it crashed my game. I can understand changing mechanics, but its mind-boggling that they didn't even test this and let a crash get into the game. Additionally, you can't walk sideways through spikes, which is a big part of Spelunky. Combined with some awkward traps, this just felt like fangame platforming with a Spelunky skin, wasting the concept. The boss is decent. The following avoidance is really unfun, with some awkward patterns and nothing really memorable.
The next two areas, Contra and Castlevania, are really fun. I didn't have any real problems with them, and they do some super cool stuff. This is the standard I wish the earlier areas lived up to.
The final stage goes through several games really quick. The Meat Boy and End is Nigh stages are awesome, but the Kirby stage is bad at tutorializing the gimmicks and has some really bad placements of enemies that can shoot you through walls. The charge gun stage is boring and didn't really add anything to the game.
The final boss is incredible. It makes everything else worth it. It has a lot of super creative ideas and some really really fun attacks. It makes me wish I could rate the game higher, but everything else just had too many flaws that added up to a poor experience.

For: Iwanna Glacial
A bit more generic than some of Wifie's other work, particularly in the first stage, but still quite enjoyable. The blue stage is the highlight, with some interesting one jump saves and some cool screen layouts using apples for decor. Overall, a pretty fun game that is approachable for beginners with a few games under their belt.

Really fun beginner friendly neon style game. Wifie does a great job emulating Nader, capturing the unique way they use spike patterns and platforms to create screen layouts much more interesting than the standard blocky fare. The game is quite fun, with each bite sized area being distinct and enjoyable. The finale is really cool, although it might get too hard for some beginners, especially with a hold right vstring fall that's basically a knowledge check.
