For: I wanna be the Best game
What I am here to say is that I honestly did not hate the experience of this game. I feel kind of bad that this game received so many 0s. It feels a bit too harsh here, in my opinion.
The game is leaning towards the absurd area. Text-to-speech from mid 2010s, that does not even pronounce everything as is written on the screen. The very caricature character, that is also animated. Gameplay where you cannot really die, and you will be just re-spawned nearby the fruits if you do touch them. And the whole tutorial style that seems like a parody with guy rock being stopped and replayed when the text stops.
Oh, and also unexpected horror element, where the speech gets slower as soon as the narrator mentions that you will die and you need to press 'F6' to restart the whole game. It might feel a bit too long but when you see the fading out, you really do expect some kind of mid 2010 jumpscare to show in your face.
You also cannot close the game, and 'F6' is just a bait, there is no restart button in this game. So to close the game you need to play it for 3 minutes or to close it through 'Task manager'. Not sure if this is good or bad, but for the Horror aspect it kind of works, I guess?
Is this game low effort? Absolutely, yes.
Is it terrible and it should not exist? Uhm, I would not say so. I think it is way extreme opinion in this case.
I was invested for a 3 minute experience, and while it is extremely short, I am surprised that it could deliver different kind of vibes. It is simple, but it is also effective.
It could be this weird mid 2010s vibes, that could have been off-putting at the time, but which are somehow pleasing now.
It is also funny reading through Kaying forums comments (where the game was published), where people did not really get the absurd nature of the game.
I think if this game would have been published now, it would receive different kind of reaction.
While the game does have unique character animation and some unique design choices, it is not a secret that the production value could have been higher. So the rating is what it is.
But I would say that this experience is quite unique. If you want something very short and extremely different in your fangame menu, then I would honestly recommend this game. It is definitely something. Don't expect too much though.
To be honest, I wish there was kind of remake to this game.
For: I wanna Pop Your Cherry
If you die to the fruit, then you will get the window saying 'gi' and you will die. That will cause the ring of fruits to spawn out of the kid, and then there will be more fruit rings and also screen will start rotating. Then some rings gonna go back to the centre and the game is gonna close down.
There is no music and the visuals are all just standard tileset.
I feel like I am missing something, because I do not get what is the meaning here, and why it was made. What do you mean we are popping our cherry? And why all of this weird action?
I am giving difficulty 1, because you can theoretically fail, but it is not very hard to die to the fruit, really.
As for the quality, for me it is rather baffling game, that does not seem to have much sense, from what I have seen here. Really confusing stuff.
It just exists and that is it. Free clear that you can do in less than 5 in-game seconds.
Would not recommend.
Edit 20/06/2025:
I did receive an unexpected message from the author regarding this game. There is a small backstory, and I will just leave the screenshot of the message: https://gyazo.com/067510f757bbd7acc0897538c78dae8e. English moment basically for me, whoops. Not sure how to feel about that. I guess it can be certainly noticed that the game was made almost 10 years ago.
It is quite bizarre for fangame of such topic be made, even if it is very 'symbolistic' and 'abstract' in the execution. So it certainly does not help much to the overall rating of the game. Although gameplay is almost non-existent, and there are no conceptual reasons to raise the rating. So in the end, nothing really changes much here, does it?
Would not recommend as I have said earlier.
For: I wanna avoid the spike
Oh, and some text as well.
Uhm. That is the end of Stage 1 and the end of the demo.
I will give difficulty 2, because you need to make correct input of avoiding the spike, and you need to avoid 2nd trap by continuing moving to the right.
Also the music of Stage 1 clear loops. That is so stupid.
Also, also, why is spike written like 'sp1ke'? What was the point?
It feels like author wanted to make a medley parody, and thought that this was peak comedy moment. I guess.
Would not recommend.
For: I wanna be the Loooong
Game's readme says this:
'I wanna be the Loooong
Creator: Lemonxreaper
I apologise for the degree of difficulty.
Please do your best.
This "I wanna" production is different to my other "I wanna" productions.
Good luck.'
This is supposed to be a joke game, where you see quite a lot of screens of water inverts in a row. The joke is that the surface of spikes works as a block, so nothing can kill you.
Your goal is to hold right key for around 53 seconds. In a complete silence.
Then you get until the clear screen, where you for some reason immediately die, and you also hear Megaman's standard soundtrack. Ah, OK?
I mean, game is definitely Loooong. I got that.
But there is not much to do.
The only funny thing is that all difficulty settings are called as a 'Bifficult'. That is it.
Would not recommend.
For: I wanna watch you without any words
Chinese special game from 2014, that Chinese players described in Tieba forums as 治愈向 ('Healing' I guess), as well as relaxing, where you can listen to the music.
I guess, that is the vibe.
Title screen makes an emphasis on the word 'without', so this is a 'word-less' game, so to say. In the loading screen there are 2 difficulty settings - Medium and Impossible. Not sure why. The only difference is the presence of the bow and the save on the clear screen. Was this also a conceptual move?
Anyway, you start the game with a colorful cutscene, where the cup on the right is shooting colorful orbs just like in the title screen. On the screen we see the kid that goes towards the spike. Everything goes black, music stops, there is an effect of kid dying and then effect of how we return back, but now everything is in the grayscale, including the kid, and there are no spikes around.
In the first screen you can collect weird pink orbs, that seemingly are leftovers from the cup. Not sure why, but OK. Also this is where you get an auto-save on Impossible mode.
Then the next screen shows the weird guitar solo soundtrack, and it starts snowing. Also this is the same screen as the previous but without the pink orbs.
Third screen involved some corridors until you get to the portal. Nothing too interesting.
Fourth screen is one big room where you need to go to the top-right corner. The jumps are easy, but the room is quite huge. You could say that this is the hardest part of the game. I guess.
Fifth screen gives an option to the player to go left and go up on an elevator (platform) to the portal. Or you can use stairs. Not sure which path is faster. But it is certainly easier going with an elevator
Sixth screen is like the second screen, except you start from the right side, and you go to the left.
The last screen, includes heavy snowing, the block that moves to the right, and you see different kid movement frames in colours above you. Not sure what does it want to tell the player.
The last screen says 'just forever', and word 'forever' is in purple colour.
I mean, the music is relaxing, and some of the effects are pretty cool. But that is pretty much it.
Not sure how fast can you speedrun this game, since Slends review refers that it can be beaten in under 2 minutes, but for me it always took sub 3 minutes.
As for the theme of the game, it is pretty hard to say what is the meaning behind this game. Which is also not the first time in this author's games.
I guess Slends theory about death or the permanence of the death makes sense. You could argue that we see kid in the afterlife, hence why all this grayscale filter, and why we see the reminiscence of the kid in the end.
Also I do not know if heavy snowing is a symbol in the last section or not, because it could have some implication.
But yeah, that is pretty much it, there is not much to the game.
Not the worst thing I have played, since it has some ideas, and there is small variety of different types of platforming. But it is still pretty lacking experience, and is not necessarily worth playing it even if this game is more about the concept, I guess.
Yeah, I would not recommend.
