Everyone in Cherry Treehouse has been on a fantastic streak of impressing me with every game, the production value on WannaFest and what they're capable of doing with GameMaker is always one thing to keep in mind but, in here, the perspective is almost completely different. Natsu and Renex come in with a rather laid back and funny adventure game (featuring visuals entirely made in MS Paint!)
You start off with 3 stages to choose from, and each of them get harder depending on the order you do them on, involving elements from previous stages. The time travel theme doesn't come to play much in the actual game but as part of the lore, packed with brilliant voice acting by both makers.
The charm in Renex's games really shines through in here just as it did through most of Catch the Clown, keeping a solid simplistic and nostalgic theme in how it looks and sounds. Really made this feel more unique as well when put together with Natsu's smooth and intuitive design. Even though both haven't released many fangames, they have a very good grasp on what works and what doesn't, specially for something made in just about a week's time. Of course, that shows on the length of the game with how short it is and I really wish it was a full-fledged one by them.
In general, they've proven once again they can work through anything together, be it incredibly well-produced games or a short time travel game with no actual time traveling. I can always get behind any of their works and recommend it to anyone else mildly interested, but most of all I trust them to surprise me in some way every time.
Thanks for making, pals! ;)

I'm surprised this has such a low rating with such great potential. This is a short demonstration of an incredibly fun and well produced medley game, with 4 stages and 3 bosses, and it's definetly better than what I've seen people often try with this genre.
The game and screen picks are a very nice mix of iconic classics with often overlooked gems, and this lets the variety in its design really shine through. These aren't pure needle screens with little to offer, but rather a highlight reel of amazing ideas that have inspired and influenced so many others in this niche. Really only one stage had a few more difficult and vanilla screens later down the line, but it never personally stained the experience.
The bosses don't usually let me down too much in medleys, and it ain't different here. All the different attacks flow very well into each other, even with the good old avoidance cutaways in the middle. One of them was quite unfitting and more learny than it should really be, placed right at the end of the Co-op Flandre boss. Rude!! Hopefully it gets changed or nerfed somehow in future versions.
Overall, unexpected drop, and a surprising one at that for what's otherwise just an unfinished medley game. Usually just that sentence is enough to drive away most players from it, but I do recommend giving it a shot, the quality and variety in it really make it worth your time, and I hope the creator doesn't abandon this project, or leave it in the dust from the seemingly poor reception at the start. Really enjoyed it!

Incredibly creative avoidance, each attack has its own quirk or gimmick to it, and while most are little weird to get used to at first, it's a very fun experience if you don't mind some learning in your bosses.
It's great to see people trying to twist your typical avoidance gameplay into something a little more fresh, you're bound to enjoy it if you value that as much as I do. Good stuff!
