Nobody's really asked the question "What if I wanna be the Pharaoh wasn't incredibly cryptic?" before, and there's probably a good reason for that. Nonetheless, turns out the maker's next game answers that question pretty well.
Despite not being cryptic, very little actually makes sense here. The story (yes, there is one, sort of) is actually fully in English, which is nice, but there really isn't enough of it to make sense of anything. You'll just wander around exploring the various areas this game has to offer and pick up collectibles, and eventually you'll probably stumble into the final boss. The journey is really what it's all about, and there's honestly so much to figure out that it's hard to not like it. None of the required content to beat the game is really hard to find either so you probably won't get lost. Probably.
There is also 6 secret items to pick up, although they seem to be completely pointless. They range from incredibly easy to find, to "you will probably have to search the entire game twice to find this". I wouldn't personally recommend trying to find them, mostly because searching everywhere can be a pain after a while, and really there's no reward for this.
If you didn't stop reading the review after the first sentence and started playing the game, then there's not much else I can do to convince you. It's very unique and I enjoyed it.

For: I wanna CoinStack 1000
CoinStack 1000 is a collectathon fangame that ultimately fails at being a great collectathon, while succeeding in every other aspect. And that's not a bad thing.
Let's start with the production value: it's unquestionably one of the best in this category. Everything was drawn by Denferok himself and there's a ton of detail everywhere. Lots of animations on creatures and details, great backgrounds and tilesets. There's really nothing else you could ask from this game on the visual side.
For the platforming in this game, you're accompanied by 2 simple yet powerful mechanics. The ability to jump from any wall, and the ability to dash in 8 directions. These may feel a bit strange at first, especially the wall jump, but the easier levels near the beginning of the game will help you get used to them and once you do get used to them, they feel like a very welcome addition to your arsenal most of the time. The wall jump and wall slide in particular feel very well used most of the time in the level design. The dash leaves a bit more to be questioned, as I often found myself struggling to figure out the dash distances or do multiple dashes in different directions in a row. The diamond dash in 20 never quite felt right to me, and I think that's something that should feel comfortable unless you completely mess something up.
The level design is pretty top-tier as a whole here. There's a few levels that I may not have enjoyed as much as the others but it doesn't detriment from the experience enough to warrant making a negative out of it. There's some great usages of the double jump, wall jump and dash all over the place, and there's something unique in every level so nothing ever gets too repetitive.
And to me, this is why you should play this game. You should go into this game expecting some great platforming challenges revolving around the mechanics you're given as a player, not expecting a collectathon. Some of the early levels do revolve around a more open-ended approach with various paths and small challenges to obtain coins, but the harder parts of the game quickly abandon this aspect and the coins become an afterthought to the platforming, mostly just there to help show the path. There may be a universe where CoinStack 1000 is a very non-linear adventure game with various tiny challenges and I would gladly be a part of that universe, but this is not that universe and I'm also fine with that. This game is still excellent nonetheless.
I think there's not much to say to wrap this review up. I can't recommend this as a needle game, an adventure game or a gimmick game: what I can do, is recommend this as a platformer. It's a full experience and really goes beyond what you might expect from a typical fangame.

Quick edit, didn't understand how this game works properly. Moogy got it right. Leaving OG review below for posterity or whatever
The gimmick with this game is that it uses dice rolls to construct the jumps in each screen. I'm not 100% sure how this works, and I don't know how I didn't see this coming, but it very quickly devolves into a high amount of diamonds and double diamonds if you get unlucky. Other types of default jumps can be seen but it gets repetitive pretty quickly, and stays repetitive for 21 screens. Combine that with default megaman music and blocks, and restarting music, and you've got this game. Probably stay away unless the prospect of 21 default needle screens with wildly varied difficulty appeals to you.

2 Yakisoban-style boss fights, and the first one basically acts as a tutorial for the second one, which is the real big boy. If you're not familiar with these, it basically plays out like a fight from Megaman Battle Network. I won't go into much detail for the first one since it's really easy in comparison to the second one (like a 55, maybe a 60 difficulty boss at most).
ヤキソバン NZ is the real core of this game and you will spend a long time learning how to deal with his insane attacks, of which you have to dodge many to finally deplete his HP bar. The fight as a whole is very very fast paced which is great fun if you're able to deal with it, and every attack feels consistently beatable once you learn it. There is one exception to this, the missile attack, which is nearly impossible to dodge to even if you prepare for it, as it requires high reaction speed combined with fast reading. Or luck.
Despite the one flaw, I had a blast playing this boss (6 hours in 2 days) and highly recommend it to anyone who might enjoy this kind of boss fight.
