As I finally beat this game after my third attempt at actually going through it, I found out it's just as unpleasant as I remember it being years ago. The style of needle in this game can only really be described as "claustrophobic", and I hope I never see it again as it actually feels bad to play, which is honestly hard for a needle game. Even generic 32px needle is pleasant compared to this. The only saves in the game I didn't find myself hating were a couple saves in stage 4, and maybe like the first gate in stage 1.
The bosses in this game are actually pretty alright however and are the highlights for me, most of them being pretty balanced avoidances that could be first tried without prior knowledge. The third one felt the best of them all and is by far the high point of the game, and the second one is the only one that isn't good by virtue of limited player space and just way too much brown.
Other notes about the production: Art is overall decent to good, most of the problems I had with it are with a lack of distinction sometimes between spikes and blocks (looking at you, stage 2) and it can look a little one-tone at times. I personally hate the music choices used throughout the game but that's a personal thing, so I'm not changing my rating for it. The death sound is however atrocious: it sounds like you just hit a button in some flash puzzle game or something. Other SFX were good.
It's my least favorite needle game of all time, but clearly this is not the opinion of the majority, so perhaps the reader of this review may end up enjoying the game. I'd say give it a shot, but if you reach the second stage and the needle isn't to your liking, then it's wiser to bail out.

Great new fangame by the maker of 6 islands and other number-titled fangames, with a pretty heavy focus on gimmicks and puzzles involving those gimmicks this time around.
Production value has increased pretty nicely from his previous titles. Backgrounds, tilesets, good music, some animations, there's clearly some care put into this. It's not outstanding but very nice nonetheless. Cutscenes are back from Colorize the 4 stones with pretty much no text and still managing to tell a pretty decently funny story, which I do have to give high praise for. On top of that, all text in this game is either simple English or both Japanese and English, so no translation needed.
Outside of the prologue, every stage in this game features a central gimmick and makes you use your brain with that gimmick. This maker is very good at various degrees of puzzles in terms of difficulty and they're all good fun to solve. There's also some traps earlier on in the game and they're all actually pretty good, although they tend to be stacked towards the end of the save which can be slightly annoying sometimes. The EX stage is very puzzle forward and makes up most of the difficulty in this game, although it is incredibly worth playing.
The bosses in this game are also pretty creative and fun to play. They all make good use of the stage's gimmick without being overly challenging, although there's an RNG element to being able to attack sometimes, which I can't say is ever really a good idea.
Overall, this is a great addition to this maker's library of games. Well worth the couple of hours it might take you and a high recommend from me.

This is a somewhat short game that doesn't really know what it wants to be, and this shows in several aspects.
The production value is very much all over the place, with pretty much a default engine title screen but many other visual aspects of the game look great, especially some of the effects. And then some tilesets are just default gray blocks. It makes no sense.
The hub is fairly unremarquable needle and there's 2 stages to go to, both with very questionable platforming. Left is a needle-trap stage that's surprisingly precise with some of the jumps required (and also chooses to bring back the cursed yellow vines from IWBTG) but also has some interesting moments, and right is a gimmick stage with everyone's (least) favorite, drawing platforms with your cursor. It's very much not good although never tips down into the absolute garbage territory, and there's a somewhat interesting very short "avoidance" at the end of the stage that I enjoyed.
But where this game certainly fails is in the bosses. The right stage's boss is slightly questionable due to the gimmick but it's nothing compared to the left stage's boss. Potentially the most infuriating experience I've had in fangames, as you'll be riding a slow water cherry through the arena while 5 other bouncing cherries go all over the place. This wouldn't even be nearly that bad if the 2nd attack didn't involve you having to go down and wait every time you shoot, and you have to do this 5 times to move on to the next attack. And if one of those bouncing cherries decides you're not going down, then it's game over and back to the beginning. There's just absolutely nothing fun about it, it oozes anti-fun in fact. The final boss also has a 95 difficulty attack which stands out amongst the others but you can beat it without getting that attack so I'll let it slide.
At the end of the day, I could honestly see myself recommending this if it wasn't for that cursed left stage boss. But it's not worth it. Look for something else to play.

There's not much to talk about since there's only 1 stage in this version of the game, but I enjoyed it. Production is solid especially for 2011, the platforming with KTG gimmicks was enjoyable and the boss was pretty and had a lot of nice attacks, although it is also much harder than the platforming. Would've liked to see more.

Fairly short game that can be split into 2 halves: the first features a bunch of trials with various basic gimmicks that you've probably seen before and is mostly inoffensive (although 1 screen has a remarquable amount of diagonals), and the second is a bunch of connected screens using only 1 gimmick you've certainly never seen like this before: you leave behind a bounce block in the shape of the kid when you die. In theory it's pretty cool, but here it sucks pretty hard, and it's mostly because of the design. You'll have to do segments over and over again until you finally have enough kids placed to make it through, and if you place a kid in a bad enough spot you might have to completely restart your game. It's an interesting idea for sure, but needs more work.
And it's Yosniper engine.
